Pro-tip, eat some bread if you consume something really hot. It helps with the digestion and kind of scrapes the capsaicin off your tongue and throat, so you feel less like you are going to die.

In San Mateo, CA, there's a pub that serves a world-class habanero burger. They post noteworthy comments from people who've eaten it. My favorite: "I thought eating the habanero burger was the worst thing that could happen to me. 12 hours later, I found out how wrong I was!" BTW: It's a pretty tasty burger!
