Yemen: Houthis to be re-designated as terror group by US | BBC News
The US will re-designate the the Houthis as “global terrorists”, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan announced on Wednesday.
He said the designation is in response to the Iran-backed group’s attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea.
The decision will require US financial institutions to freeze Houthi funds and its members will be banned from the US.
A Houthi spokesman said the decision would not stop the group trying to interrupt Israeli shipping operations.
On Wednesday evening, a Houthi spokesperson said the group had successfully targeted the Genco Picardy, and that the attack was a response to “the American-British aggression against our country”.

Before a deadly outbreak this year, Bangladesh had made “substantial progress” towards eliminating measles, according to the World Health Organisation. Vaccination rates had been higher than 90%.
But that progress has quickly come undone. Since March, government figures show nearly 750 people have died, mostly children. The death toll includes confirmed and suspected cases of measles. But Unicef says the true numbers are likely higher.
Government figures show more than 120,000 suspected and confirmed measles cases since mid-March, and there are still nearly 1,000 new cases daily.
But why has this happened? The BBCs’ South Asia Correspondent Azadeh Moshiri reports from a measles ward in the Bangladeshi city of Mymensingh.

A military parade has marched through the streets of Paris below clouds of red, white and blue smoke left by planes in the sky as part of Bastille Day celebrations.
Held each year on 14 July, the national holiday marks the storming of the Bastille fortress in 1789, a key event from the French Revolution.
President Emmanuel Macron was joined by European leaders, including the UK’s Sir Keir Starmer and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky, as soldiers from Ukraine and its ‘Coalition of the Willing’ allies passed by.

Typical of the US can't beat them so redefine the narrative and change people's views on an organisation that is definitely not terrorists. They have done it for years anyways. So What if Houthis are declared as terror organisation by. USA . America has declared Al Qaida and Taliban as Terror Organisation , but what has happened . American President bows before Taliban to give them passage to escape from Afghanistan. It was a shameful Withdrawl. But since this was common in their society as long ago they have escaled from Vietnam . Houthis are becoming more powerful day by day . Attacks upon US led ships in Red Sea are going high day by day . Israel within a short time is dying day by day .
