In and of its own quality such songs are good but I feel they have a non realistic romantic tone that doesn't rhyme so well with my now pragmatic value based view of love.
In some sense they represent more of the juvenile blissful somewhat "blind" version of love that isn't sustainable. It's more of a beautiful lie.
I can't see myself saying to someone's daughter that "nothing is gonna change my love for you" because I even though I would like it to be so, it ain't gonna happen.
I have seen myself change over time.
