If I could only eat one thing as a last meal, it would be my baked potatoes (which are a normals version of the chef one) – we like them so much at Christmas that they are one of the main meals, and now it isn't really Christmas without them.
oil and salt potatoes (and stab with forks to stop skins bursting), bake at 180C for an hour. once cooled, cut them in half, scoop out the middle, mash the middle and add a handful of cheese, a handful of diced bacon, and a small handful of chopped parsley. Mix it all together, then spoon it back into the shells. Bake for another 15mins. Heaven on earth.

Never had tuna on a baked potato…love new ideas.

The obvious answer is the last middle, put in the microwaved body.

Not baked potato related but is potato. Have you ever worked with Smash? (dehydrated potato) I hate it and can tell the difference in pubs and restaurants, so I avoid it. I'd like to challenge the team to try ideas out.

I’m just a Southerner, here to say that sweet potato should have just had some butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on it. What y’all did with all but the twice baked potato is just blasphemous. And even that one should have been topped with cheddar. Although I suppose that would have been a bit less “chefy”.

I genuinely can't figure out how I ended up here; I hate baked potatoes.

I'm fairly new to ur channel and love each and every one of you ,but i have never heard of any these toppings for potatoes. I can not wait to try them all. Thank you for keeping us entertained

Is tuna in a jacket potato an English thing, because I've never heard of that in Virginia. 😂

  14. @ymarkone

    January 24, 2024 at 12:22 am

You can cut the baking time down by using an air fryer. This will allow you to make the "2-hour" potato in about 30-40 minutes!

Shouldn't have put the lid back on and let the cheese gratinate in the mash mix, top chef tip 😘

When I prepare twice baked potatoes, which is frequently, I always cut them in half lengthwise. I much prefer your method, they look cute with the little hat. Sweet potatoes with refried beans, I'm not so sure. If I feel adventurous I'll give it a try. Love these videos, keep them coming.

I never say this… But I think I would go the 90 Min route just to get that crispy jacket

  22. @andrewmartin2103

    January 24, 2024 at 12:22 am

You can't spend hours cooking a jacket they don't take effort to get a good one, time you can't burn them really just put them in the oven oil and salt them in the morning leave them and whatever you do after is up to you.

Maybe it's because I'm from America but the first 2 seem like the oddest combinations.

I have no problem using 90 minutes making baked potatoes, so for me James' and Ben's are the winners by a mile

When the chef+chef recipe started i was worried ben cried earlier but you sounded a bit nasal at the tasting so i think you were just having a cold or maybe hayfever. Phew

if the recepie take 20min and the potato needs 10 min in the microwave and then 10 min in the oven then what time is left to garniz
