All too often in the past foreign aid has been found to be the transfer of money from working-class families living in wealthy countries to wealthy people living in poor countries.
What steps will the UK government be taking to ensure that citizens who can't afford to 'donate' money aren't being forced to do so via having to pay higher taxes?
What steps will 'War Child' be taking to ensure that all of the aid will only be spent on protecting children and not end up in the pockets of, for example, the Taliban?
@Wodens-Wolf

Bullshit, the majority of overseas aid goes to big pharma. The aid most countries are offered is in the form of vaccination. If it's refused then the offer is withdrawn. Anti child trafficking? Please do me a favour, these charlatans are doing exactly the opposite. Celebs and actresses front it up because most are so thick they don't realise they're being used.
