Ben being 0% is obvious. He says itchy, he is a fucking idiot. (Everyone else destroys him…)

Barley and Beer had the same importance to the Babylonians, and they had a Goddess of Brewing much like the Japanese do 🙂

Ben's face realizing the experience before them!

So brewing sake is basically a sacred practice, since rice is so close to their Gods. That's really neat.

Also, "We should have brought James, and his arms." I'm so glad the crew acknowledges and appreciates James' physique.

the Noma restaurant is one of the very few reasons I'm proud of my country (Denmark if you want to know), and to see your faces when they said it was a testing ground for Noma made really happy, I knew Noma was good but until I sore your reaction I google them and now know they are no. 1 in the world or at least was don't know if they still are.

Six sentences later he finished the word: Sake. Japanese is for sure complicated!

  24. @NothingXemnas

    January 21, 2024 at 7:06 pm

The "kaizen" concept also exists in Japanese whiskey. As said by the guys at Whiskey Vault, if you get a bottle of the same whiskey 3 years later and it tastes the same, it only means the brewery couldn't make it better in that time. It almost always changes in taste.

The pronunciations hurt my very soul. They sound so touristy. Itchy-itchy-itchy was a very funny moment, though.

Ben's joy in science makes me really happy. It's so nice that he's so into it, and that it can be linked to food, something else he (obviously) really enjoys. 🙂 Also, though, did his Japanese come in useful on the trip or was it just a car crash?
