If your plqning to cook this the next day… ples let the pork/sausage meat cool down. Dont add hot stuff to meat unless your cooking imidiqly.

I will never get pairing meat and fruit, it just doesn't appeal to me. I think I have a love sweet taste gene deficiency.

A.k.a karipap in Malaysia 😂 but we put curry powder instead of dried oregano and we also add in some diced potatoes.

Can you show us how to make pasty/pastry dough? The crusty layered ones. Everytime I make them they don't turn out flaky even if the butter is super cold.

  14. @MTene

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

Leviticus 11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. 8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you. 9 These
shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and
scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. 10 And
all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of
all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the
waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: 11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. 12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Isaiah 66:15 For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. 16 For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many. 17 They
that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind
one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and
the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord.

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

  33. @jackp8998

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

  34. @TwistedRealisations

Hey guys! My mum really likes your show that names her new dog after you! She named it Barry, if you are reading this Baz have a great day!

  37. @ToastAndJellyfish

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

I've never been a fan of sweet pies, but I'm absolutely mad about savory ones, especially things in the hand pie family! So great to see this, they look absolutely delicious. Now I'm craving Yooper pasties!

  38. @steelersrulealot

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

    Um,

I believe these are called empanadas…

  39. @joaquin4519

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

    Empanada

  40. @leapintothewild

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

"Link Below" for pastry is missing.   BTW,  if you cut the pastry into squares and fold point-to-point, you'll end up with triangular pasties without all the little bits of extra pastry to deal with. 🙂  Love this version of sausage filling and trying it out this weekend!

  41. @shayg

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

I need me a hot sausage

  42. @hollyh7924

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

Can I substitute marshmallow creme for the crust?

  43. @unicornfiber6189

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

Any suggestions on alternative crunchy bits? I'm allergic to nuts.

  44. @chopkins57

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

I'm loving the combination of videos you guys are doing these days! The NowCookIt and Level Up videos feel like practical recipes I could actually make, and I actually learn something about cooking, but there are still the fun battle videos and Big Nights In and such to mix it up. Plus having the weekly theme gives it all an interesting structure. As a longtime viewer, I appreciate that you keep listening and responding to what people want to see.

  45. @chomerly

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

What would be a good alternative to the nuts and raisins? I'm not a lover of raisins in general, and my daughter can't stand them, but my partner has a nut allergy so obviously that would need to change.

Edit: I've just read the recipe via the link you've provided that has answered my question. 👍

  46. @celimendez7620

    January 17, 2024 at 3:24 am

I'll stick with my empanadas. BTW, why did Ben said that flans have crusts??
