The comment by the woman at the end is ridiculous. "This is why you can't close branches." Wrong. The number of people doing what she did on a regular basis is small and it is falling. That is why branches are closing, and she is also incorrect that you need to go into a branch to pay in cheques.

Is there a case for subsidising things so that the small section of society which does use branches can continue to bank in person? Yes. However that would be on a collective basis, NOT an individual bank basis. One branch facility serving all high street banks.

We are now at the point where the last generation using bank branches in significant numbers are dying off. Even if they're not dying off yet a significant further proportion of them are now disabled to the point where they can't actually go out and use bank branches, further reducing the footfall. Certainly you have to be north of 75 for a significant proportion of an age group to still be using bank branches. It may even have reached the point where it's north of 80 now. This is demographic reality and no amount of wishful thinking will change it.

Under a Central Bank Digital Currency High Street Banks will still have a Future… The Big High Street Banks are shareholders in the Privately Owned Central Banking System ….. This System is Totally Corrupt and Rigged against the Ordinary Hard Working Person,,, Rigged so they Can Steal Your Hard Earned Money including Pensions……
The Central Banks and their Crony Friends (All Communists in Disguise working towards a One Government World,- for Total Control) Already Control Virtually everything Corporate and Most Governments of note, Anything they Don't Own they Dictate Too… Remember – They Who Control the Money Control the World – Every Aspect…. Through Blackmail, Coercion, Threats, False Promises, Lies you name it and they Use the IMF, BIS, the World Bank, United Nations, WTO, WHO, the EU and the List goes on……
If we allow a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and a Central Bank or Government Digital I.D. one or both, We Will Have Made Their Wildest Dreams Come True, ensuring their Wealth and Power Giving Them Total and Complete Control over the Masses/People……
Do Not Allow This to Happen……. You Will Have No Privacy, No Real Rights and No Choice in Many Things… You will be Forever Enslaving Yourself, Your Children and There Children…. You Really Will End Up Owning Nothing, Eating Bugs and Losing so much more, Forget Holidays and Having Your Own Transport/Car ect… Your Life will become a Nightmare and it will not turn out to be a dream…… They will Know Everything about You, and I do mean Everything and if they do not like something you do or say, with the press of a button they can wipe you off, out of existence, in many ways – ie they could change your identity and make You there Most Wanted Criminal, if they want… They Could/Will have a lot of fun at your Expense… Whatever they want to do to you they can….
Do Not Forget This…… Forget at your own Peril… and your Family's……
Mark my words…. They will Offer you Everything they Can to Get You to Accept their CBDC…
They will Promise More Money, Benefits Everything they Can… it will All be Lies and False Promises…. Once they Have the CBDC accepted by the People… it's Game Over …… –
    You are Totally Fu.kedd

Co op, Halifax, HSBC and Lloyds closed in my town with the loss of their cashpoints.all saying we could bank at the post office. Now that is going too! And we have a higher than average number of pensioners living here. I changed bank twice and still don't have any branch. Banking online isn't an option for many people. It leaves the vulnerable open to being scammed. Let's face it, if Jim Browning can get scammed what hope is there for someone in the early stages of dementia?

WHY is it so many people don't see the truth of the Bible NOW? 2000 years ago- it says a day would come- global govt, military, & global CURRENCY. Money will be thrown in the streets- worthless, & a number used to buy or sell by everyone. NO exceptions. A global religion. The elites on Mt. Sinai, with 2 tablets of " climate repentance"? Is that not ENOUGH? GOD WARNED US, & the coming ANTICHRIST will enforce the mark of the beast- altering not only your DNA, but your FREE WILL. No ability to choose after that!
Covid was the trial run. Look how many free people bowed to it!
No computers existed 2000 years ago- using one number to a person for money was humanly inconceivable then! That came from God. Jesus is the ONLY safety, the only escape. Run to Him, give your life to Him now, while there's time.

Its sad to see banks disappearing in the high streets but its the same situation with shops if people do not use them they close. The vast majority of customers do their banking online. Its difficult for people that do not have access to internet & small businesses that use them for banking takings.

  15. @jackhadroom4540

    What a completely ludicrous suggestion.
In 2010 they said cheques would be obsolete within five years.
In 2013 they said cash would be obsolete within a decade.
When cars were invented they didn't abolish bikes or horses

We are being forced to use cards not cash, it's all a plan, and we have no choice. My bank closed last year, which meant I would have to go into town to sort anything out with the bank, which I can't do because I'm disabled. So I closed my account with them, and went to a different bank.

If the banking system starts to crash, you won't be able to draw out your cash because all the local bank branches have closed.

I want to go to my bank, get money out / print a statement in-between the one sent & use CASH! I use a savings account for some money but do still use banks. More unemployment on tellers IF the banks are stupid enough to close.

Andy Burnham reacts to DEVASTATING Stourbridge fires as homes GUTTED: “Never seen anything like it”

Published

on

By

Andy Burnham has visited families in Stourbridge after seeing the scenes of houses devastated by fires.

The Prime Minister outlined his plans to support those affected by the destruction, as he issued a temporary ban on the sale of disposable barbecue.

The ban comes into force today.

Speaking about the fires in Stourbridge, he said: “I’ve never seen anything like it. I mean, I dealt with wildfires in Greater Manchester, but nothing on this scale. I’ve never seen scenes like this in Britain, where you just see a whole house gutted, smouldering.

ā€œAnd I met one of the families whose house had gone up in that in that way, so you can imagine how distressing that is for for them, and you feel for them and their kids, and not to go elsewhere.

ā€œYou know, it’s just unbelievably devastating for people in this in this position. So that’s why I’m here. I just wanted to show that, you know, we’re on the ground.

“We understand how difficult this is for everybody, and we will put in place the support to help people get back to where they should be as soon as possible.”

We now live in GASLIT BRITAIN

Published

By

Mark Littlewood says “we now live in gaslit Britain” after it emerged the Home Office published a guide for illegal migrants on how “not to rape women”.

It is just one of the resources available in a collection titled: “Understanding behaviours and expectations in the UK: a guide for asylum seekers”.

Posters and information on rape, the age of consent and child abuse are among the guides to help asylum seekers “understand what is expected when living in the UK”.

The guidance highlights child rape is illegal “even if they look older” or if “it is allowed in another country”.

Speaking to Patrick Christys on GB News, political commentator Mark Littlewood said: “This pamphlet is extraordinary. And the reason I find it so extraordinary and disturbing is if you need that pamphlet, I don’t want you anywhere near my country.”

A Home Office spokesperson told GB News: “We expect everyone who comes to the UK to abide by our laws.

“If they do not, they will face consequences, including the refusal of their asylum claim and removal from the UK.

ā€œReturns of failed asylum seekers have reached their highest level since 2010 under this Government.ā€

British burqa ban? GB News guest urges UK to follow Portugal

Published

on

By

Tiffany Marie Brannon has urged Britain to introduce a burqa ban after Portugal did so.

Portugal has banned face-coverings in public in a measure widely seen as a “burka law” targeting Muslim women.

President António José Seguro signed into law a bill that originated with the hard right-wing Chega party.

The policy was adopted by Lisbon in July with votes from the right-wing governing coalition and the hard right, while left-wing parties voted against it.

Speaking on The Late Show Live on GB News, Tiffany Marie Brannon argued that the issue raises wider questions about integration, cultural identity and the role of religious dress in British public life, as the debate over face coverings continues to divide opinion.
