If the cause the charity is pushing is popular with the public then they (the public) will give them money. Why therefore would the government have to waste public money on the charities we don't actually support.

Why don't they pay a charity that will work towards stopping human trafficking and the illegal migrant dingy's? Instead the money goes to charities that encourage the illegal migration and help them in their legal cases. It is a big racket and cottage industry that they have created and the result is 100k illegal migrants living in hotels.

The government doesn't have any money. It's taxpayers damn money, that they are supposed to manage and pay the bills with, but to be honest a kindergarten child could manage the country's finances better.

  25. @fraserduthie5853

Some Charities are some of the biggest scams in society. Bosses running these organisations making Hundreds of thousands of pound.

They are not charities, they are corporations and should be taxed as one. Same with religion, look at the vatican, multi millionaires dressed like wizards.

  26. @El.Cid17

    January 13, 2024 at 5:20 pm

Charities should stand on their own two feet, and not given tax payers money.

  27. @aleccap5946

    January 13, 2024 at 5:20 pm

Why is the word crisis used in the UK when we pay a high tax on absolutely everything ? Why can't the people vote to have MP's wages reduced by 50% ?

  28. @cloudfive53

    January 13, 2024 at 5:20 pm

Our governments objective is to spend all tax payers money on projects that benefit themselves and their mates. They are simply sharing out the pot amongst themselves and their friends whilst telling the public to be quiet and go away. Always seems to be plenty of money putting criminals in hotels and taxi service across the english channel.

  29. @archiemcberry7102

    January 13, 2024 at 5:20 pm

You do not get elected to "cut back." You get elected so you can spend government money and help your friends. Who wants to get elected to a government which quits spending money. Playing poker is fun if it is with other people's money.

  30. @GreenStreetPlayer1

    January 13, 2024 at 5:20 pm

More than Beggars Belief! WTF are they doing, or just shows with their vote against dropping ECHR they really don’t want to solve the illegal migrant situation. “We’re gonna do this, we’re gonna do that”, seems Sunak’s speech the other day means nothing, again!

  31. @peteradshead2383

    January 13, 2024 at 5:20 pm

if you stop legal aid and make them do it pro bono , you will find all these law stop taking illegal migrants overnight .
Why is it that only illegal migrants can get legal aid now ?
pro bono ? , I was never pro bono !!!

  32. @DomFurlong

    January 13, 2024 at 5:20 pm

As long as there is two sides fighting each other the government will pay whoever to keep them fighting. Divide and conquer.
