Cyber Attack: Ransomware causing chaos globally – BBC News
Tens of thousands of organisations have been caught out by a computer virus called WannaCry. The malicious software locks data away and demands a payment of up to $300 (£230) a time before it will restore scrambled files. In the UK, many hospitals fell victim and some health organisations diverted ambulances and cancelled non-essential services as they sought to contain and clean up the infection. Infections in more than 99 nations are being reported by security firms. It appears that the hardest hit are Russia and Spain.

Is this AI’s moment of truth? | BBC News
A year ago, artificial intelligence was being sold as something close to science fiction — a technology that could transform society, cure disease, even reshape the global economy.
Today, the tone is changing. The companies leading the revolution are racing to the stock market — chasing billions in investment — while quietly confronting a much harder reality: AI is expensive, unpredictable, and far from profitable.
At the same time, some of the very people building this technology are warning we may be going too fast — even calling for a global pause.
And beyond Silicon Valley, a different story is emerging: growing public anxiety, political backlash, and the rise of what some are calling anti-AI populism.
So is AI entering its most pivotal moment yet — caught between financial pressure, technological risk, and political resistance?
AI Decoded Presenter Christian Fraser is joined by Financial Times AI Editor Madhumita Murgia, Thematic Strategist at Deutsche Bank Research Adrian Cox and Richard Coffin, Host of popular investing podcast ‘ The Plain Bagel’.

Bruh, the very first thing humans do when they wake up is check the phones. How can it be difficult to use Natural Cycles everyday…Nevertheless, women need to be more open about their cycles/pms with their partners. Even about their vagina's, how the cervix moves up & down (which indicates time of periods)

Social media is serving women by sharing stories and offering healthy alternatives. Yes there is bad gen out there but when did people stop being able to discern between that which is good and that which is nonsense? People need to educate themselves, do their research, understand the risks and preventative measures, find respectful partners, RESPECT THEMSELVES, and take responsibility.

tho tbh other videos are playing sound just fine, it's only this video that doesn't play right.

Oh no! Women are getting information from two sources that are not experts: their own experience and the experiences of other women. This does not mean it is not valid. Stop telling women they are too stupid to make their own decisions. The pill is great in theory but lots of women experience very real and distressing side effects. It is not for everyone. I used it for over a decade and I am grateful but in the end my Doctor told me I could not use it anymore due to the risks to my health. Women should know about the risks and more people raising awareness is a good thing and could even save lives.

I wish this was a better-researched video. Women aren't giving up birth control; they are giving up HORMONAL birth control. Condoms are hormone-free and highly effective if used correctly. They also protect against STDs, which hormonal birth control does not do.
A note on so-called side effects: Side effects are not a thing. Medications only have effects. Pharmaceutical companies decide which effects they want to test for and highlight. Medications are given clearance if they meet certain criteria regarding the desired effects. But the other effects are not "side effects", they are just not the desired effects. Remember viagra? It is well-known that this medication was not initially intended to help men get erections, this was a so-called side effect. But since it turned out to also be a desired effect, the company decided to test and promote the drug as though this was the intended effect.
So what's the issue with hormonal birth control? The issue with hormones is that they affect everything in us. They do not just target our uteruses or our ovaries. Hormones affect your brain and your gut because using hormones means tinkering with your endocrine system. This is not necessarily undesirable. I used the combined pill for 8 years and it served me well. But I wish the people who produced this video had actually done some digging into what is going on with this. Read Holly Grigg Spall and Sarah E. Hill's respective books on this topic. They provide a balanced account of what the pill and hormonal birth control at large do. This way women can make informed decisions. Doctors could do a better job at explaining what these meds do. I was prescribed the pill for painful periods but the GP never told me whether the periods would still be painful and abundant if I stopped taking it. It turns out that your old period might just come back, with all its pain and heaviness. It was not the case for me, but the GP should have told me that it was a possibility.
A note on Natural Cycles: This app is FDA approved and it was certified by the EU in 2017 (https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/natural-cycles-birth-control-app-b2270679.html). Moreover, they ask you whether you have a regular sleep schedule and other questions regarding suitability before you start using it. They also tell you explicitly, you know, if you actually read the information, that it takes some time for the app to gather data on you and make accurate recommendations. You need to measure every day, under specific conditions. You need to do LH tests. Also, people, condoms really do work. I know it doesn't feel the same but if you're a man and you think it's not fair that the responsibility of contraception falls disproportionately on women, put on a condom. Finally, there are so many other things you can do in the bedroom besides penetrative sex if you are really against condoms.

Basically they’re using the catholic natural family planning method and it does work fairly well, but you need to realize it has a failure rate like everything else. Ideally you should be open to having a baby in the case that it doesn’t work.

I heard that women can stop menstruation if they take the pill. That would be quite convenient even if they didn't have sex. Of course it's a big tax paid to Big Pharma. People could just not have sex. I've never done it and don't see the attraction.
Why is most of the sound in the left channel and the narration in the right channel?

Just based on the topic I already knew how they would look 01:01. Also, guys, ALWAYS use a condom. Unless you are on a stable relationship, with FREQUENT consultations and blood tests, which let's be honest, no one does, you WILL get a disease one day, because they are not as loyal as you might think.
