Burnham HUMILIATED as Israel brands UK ‘Islamic Republic of Britain’ and Trump eyes Falklands THREAT

NEW: Andy Burnham takes swipe at Brexit and Thatcher as he sets out vision for Britain
Andy Burnham takes aim at Brexit, Thatcherism and Britain’s economic record as he sets out his vision for the country in his first speech as Prime Minister. Burnham pays tribute to Keir Starmer and outlines his plans to deliver economic growth, promising “fiscal responsibility” while arguing that Britain has taken “a series of wrong turns” since the 1980s. He says Brexit “compounded the damage” and pledges to build a pro-business, innovation-led economy across the UK.
Burnham also addresses some of the major issues facing Britain, including the small boats crisis, prison early release and the privatisation of water companies and utilities. Drawing on his experience as Mayor of Manchester, the Prime Minister explains how his time in local government has shaped his approach to leading the country. He concludes by promising that Britain can “believe again” and “bring back hope” as he sets out his ambitions for the future.
Opposition Leader Kemi Badenoch wastes no time in challenging the new Prime Minister, mocking Burnham’s first day in office and warning that being Prime Minister is “a very different job” from being Mayor of Manchester. Badenoch grills him over defence spending, the small boats crisis, tax rises and his criticism of Thatcherism, accusing Burnham of wanting to take Britain “back to the 1970s”.

It’s not only the cheap labour provided by immigrants. Imagine owning a widget factory in the Uk. Minimum wage, tax, national insurance, H&S costs, environmental costs, rates, compulsory pension contributions etc. etc. etc. I’m not saying I disagree with any of these, but WHY would you allow imports from countries that conform to NONE of these standards and protections? There’s no way we can compete!

Not one foreigner enters until the 5 million are working.
Carot and stick approach. Halve benifits. Use the cash to increase the minimum wage.
Tax wealthy more use the cash to incentivise those at the bottom.
Job done.
It's not rocket science!

We didn't want cheap foreign labour but it turns put that we didn't want to contribute any indigenous alternative. Brexit supporters only want to have their cake and eat it. They had no plan for the UKs economic future.

Brexit was no more that a political party trying to hold onto power, so in that regard it was a complete success. Now we have migration being used as a tool to hold onto power. In both cases the voters are being exploited with incorrect information , in the hope that as time passes you will forget your ignorance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-aUQBY6CF8&t

It's not a matter of 'not wanting to work' we didn't have this before uncontrolled mass immigration. If UK employers are easily able (encouraged) to go to Poland and offer the youngest fittest workers double what they can earn staying at home – then the not so young, not so fit UK citizens cannot compete and get pushed out of employment. Meanwhile in Poland it's made easier for Polish people to get jobs. What does anybody think happens when we bring in ten million young fit workers from other countries? Why not make sure every UK citizen has a job before bringing more people in?

My Construction firm needs good workers. The shortages are appalling
We offered jobs to our 'Patriots' and for years they largely REFUSED. Everything from apprenticeships to Site Foremen.
We care about providing a good service and reducing un-employment.
If the immigrants wanna work, My company (and hundreds of others) will give 'em the jobs.
It's business!

Last year, 570,000 wealthy and professional British people quit the country.
Net migration was 600,000.
That means nearly 1.2 million people migrated came to the UK last year.
Brexit does not seem to be working as designed.

I can feel the anger rising – in the last 30 odd years I have seen a massive decline in the number of higher learning establishments offering vocational and trade related courses – there used to be about a dozen just In bristol alone and now there is just ONE place doing courses.
The UK used to have skilled artisans in every street of every city, now we have too many liberal arts degrees and no plumbers, brickies and sparkies,
This is why we have a shortage of trades and instead of pumping cash into rebuilding that, we're spending it on illegals.
I would join a march on Parliament in a heartbeat, but seems the UK is dead inside already and doesn't care.

Building houses with cheap foreign labour doesn't work. They get knocked down and rebuilt by British builders because they are classed as unsafe once snagged and inspected. This will bankrupt the biggest building companies in the UK. It's happened to two this year.
Pay British people what there worth or you will end up paying twice and paying double.
