I'm back after 2 years (has it been that long?) and at 6:22, I'm still shocked at how many people don't do this. You already have what was in the can in your food, and you're adding what you are holding, just the can and don't dirty a dish.

And I still say Barry was thinking like a professional photographer, not a food photographer.

Why is James wearing a wig?

  3. @Konani_the_unicorn_queen

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

    the guy working with photography,
    looses the photography challenge,
to two people who doesn't do photography XD!!

-i don't think i've ever seen James laugh so hard, ever.

  4. @chsbob9

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I hate to say this, but James reminds me of a few rams and sheep my uncle raised. His hair just wants me to grab some shears.

I may have watched this video enough times for the food to no longer being what caught my attention.

  5. @andy70d35

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Hilarious, Barry's photo was the worst food photo ever, looked like an advert in Tesco's window.
Should have been far closer to the glass with less of the background, just like mike did to draw the viewer in

  6. @Timeisirrelevant

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

James and Ben’s hair still crack me up. You can tell they didn’t have an SO at the time to help cut their hair, unlike the other guys.

  7. @huggledemon32

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I swear the best part of this video was everyone collectively losing their SH*T at Barry losing the basic photography badge!🤷‍♀️😅🥰😂😂😂

  8. @ubi_fps

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I would love to see an episode where the 3 normals work together to create a dish, and pit that against the same dish that Ben can create. A whole series where they do this and compete for badges.
Is a trained chef better than the 3 people he teaches combined?

  9. @shadodragonette

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Yea, I haven't changed much, a little pepper an.. nope, just pepper for me ty. You can keep the grapefruit, I hate grapefruit! there are some very nice people who shared food with me and others, some of us appreciate it much more than others! Uh, that would be pretty much equal, we all love you! At the end of it all, I just want you to know I LOVE you! You did this, you didn't have to do this and my itty bitty heart appreciates you to the end and beyond! Some day, I will learn how to show thanks! Until then, my itty bitty heart loves you! I want to be very honest, don't qualify to wash their dishes, I am NOT qualified to judge them! love them! Somebody near and dear to them, give them lots of hugs that most of us aren't qualified for, pretty please and thank you!

  10. @someguy6158

Mike's sense of smell really got over shadowed in this one but damn he has a good sniffer.

  11. @t_broek

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

    Jamie would wear black pepper

  12. @nickipedia1

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I have watched this video so many times and the absolute chaos and outrage at Ben announcing Barry's photo results never fails to get a belly laugh from me 😀

  13. @marshaloneagle4646

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

i love how we get to follow along and hear them 'thinking aloud.' It really helps understand how to do that ineffable improv/creation process. And as a bonus, 'mistakes' become fun and the whole shebang is an experiment. Wheee

  14. @henrysmith893

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

    Mike isn't good

  15. @ethancampbell215

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I find it such a shame that Mikes creativity didn’t amount to anything of note because he was quite restricted by the flavour pairing he selected because he’s very often creative and brave in cooking battles. From making a Tah Chin on a £5 budget to making a Baked Alaska independently with limited assistance from the chefs from a recipe that had a limited description of the dish, no cooking methods or ingredients to even begin to comprehend what the final dish described was supposed to look like, he’s very creative and willing to experiment outside of the box to stretch the boundaries and has a very developed taste palette and these badge challenges aren’t doing him justice

  16. @bintasb

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

    Mike's lil dance at 20:53 😂😂😂

  17. @BettyOs

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Why does Barry sound like Baldrick from Black Adder 😂

  18. @ShoelessGaminh

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

16:08 Jamie’s fucking giggle killed me

  19. @RoseDragoness

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

this is amazing and waiting for the results is thrilling. At very least, I already know that the pineapple coconut is the most photogenic food of the three.

  20. @underbossgamingdunce7018

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

This is literally the greatest sorted food episode so far.

  21. @ethancampbell215

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Knowing that the majority of flavour comes from aroma, it’s so interesting seeing how different ingredients that aren’t being eaten are troublesome to identify but also how much it shows the talent of the chefs to be able to confidently collate these ingredients to create a delicious dish

  22. @jaybehkay2438

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I really want to smell that black pepper scent because pepper is so distinct to me and they had such varied answers

  23. @5PctJuice

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Regardless of outcome, I think Jamie's thought process of essentially deconstructing a piña colada and remaking it into a dessert is brilliant and way more than I could come up with on the fly.

  24. @edpotter1170

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

honestly though when it comes to food photography, it's best to appeal to people's five senses rather than technical aesthetic.

Mike's honey on toast got that earthy colours, hot & cold, crispy texture from the burnt toast, sweet ice cream and honey- in fact without any caption about the ingredient, the honey even look like salted caramel which is even better.

Jamie's coconut rice pudding got the right amount of aesthetic, texture and taste. Especially with the green leaves and pineapple that made it look fresh.

Barry's picture is nice, but too commercial and… pretentious..? 😅 The attention is on the glass and the background, not the actual dessert. It almost looks like those ads with irrelevant pictures like Capital Ones' ad at a cafe, and iTunes ad at a gym, you know?

  25. @j4gerb0mblitz

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Man, James has wild hair in this video

  26. @DanahFattouh

Missing when episodes were this long (rewatching on April 7th 2023)

  27. @ZombiSlayer17

20:27 Is my favorite Sorted moment of all time

    What is this Marscapopny stuff?

  29. @aewald19

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

5:23 hear me out hahaha french toast batter that’s just egg, pepper and salt. And dipped in ketchup hahaha never have I ever liked any kind of sweet French toast. My friends has dubbed my “atrocity” eggy bread hahahah

  30. @mollymelena6104

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

    I LOVE BEN!!!

  31. @spiderdude2099

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I’m so glad Barry lost the photography challenge. No one likes a smug cheeky show off XD. Gotta defend that title if you wanna keep it

  32. @annmariesharpe6

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I think a great badge would be disaster recovery badge. Correct or fix a dish which has gone wrong

  33. @louismonty468

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Had to rewatch after bens recent loss , what a channel

  34. @TheOystei

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

for the photo, a fancy glass with some white creamy stuff and fruits is kind of a basic "dessert" look and is kinda booring to look at imo. I blame the object not the picture.

  35. @FrolleinMiez

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Mike deciding to throw the toast in the custard made me cry from laughter 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So happy I found you guys a few week ago. Already watched about a third of your content and loved every second of it.

  36. @bloodwolfblacktree

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Terribly sorry, the aromaster cheat sheet aroma guide has..a horse, a rubber band ball, and gasoline (petrol)…what!?

  37. @krisstine5475

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I love how you encourage ingenuity and invention instead of adhering to strict procedure

  38. @AnymMusic

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

20:54 on the contrary, people definitely have taste. Yours just was too focussed on the photo, and basically nothing on the whole food point. It literally wasn't appealing

  39. @misschloes-w

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

    i've missed James

  40. @alanfitzgerald6567

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

how can they possibly say the rice pudding was delicious, but fail him because it wasn't elevated? Wasn't the task to make a flavour pairing?

  41. @montgoj087

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

The shocked faces and merciless laughter followed by This is the best day ever! Honey on toast!!

I could watch that part a million times, and still laugh my butt off.

  42. @ilicarriedoll2843

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Ngl, Mike's photo is the one looks most delicious here 😂😅 While Barry's one looks so amateurish

  43. @jaradsmethers3601

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

this is a great episode to revisit got a huttlestorm got a james dying of laughter and the chefs being utterly bemused by the events transpiring and that's just 1 minute of the episode 😀

  44. @johanna-rr3eu

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I love seeing Jamie‘s brain work here

  45. @tore650

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I do disagree with this challange, the skill badges really shouldn't be awarded to whoever did the best, it should be to any and all who earned it. Barry made a great picture, but Jamie's dish just looked better and won for that reason.

  46. @gendoll5006

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

I love this series/format so much I wish they’d do it again!! I loved the ones like when they did knife skills, making mayo, identifying spice blends, meringue, etc. and I wish they’d do more!!!

  47. @markbolton4142

    January 10, 2024 at 2:58 pm

Barry gets his just desserts LOL
