Will Johnson Resign: The No 10 Christmas Party Scandal Explained – TLDR News

Last year Downing Street held a Christmas Party while telling the rest of the country to lock down and not see their families at Christmas. I don’t think I need to explain why this is shocking, but the way the scandal has been handled has been so poor that many (even within his own party) are calling for Johnson’s head.

Yes he needs to resign to show respect to the British people !

Hmmm, I feel that when you are leading a nation in times of strife like this pandemic is causing, then you always behave with utmost care and respect for all those affected.

Anything less is rather unhinged and should raise red flags about how little their leader cares about them. Such leaders should be removed

He should be charged with breaking the law which is exactly what he did.

I don't have a Christmas party planned this year but I do have a business meeting planned with festive nibbles and wine. I can assure everyone that despite it being packed it will be legal because that's what the government did last year.

The way you mispronounce "secretary" is really annoying

    Of course
    Borris should resign
Law should be equal to everyone

That total low life should never have been in No 10 in the first place.

If I were British I would be upset and refuse to follow your draconian lockdown rules, that have done nothing to protect you from Covid, more deaths per capita than Sweden with very lax laws. Or change the text to "Rule Britannia" because you really look like slaves. But hey, get upset about some staffers having a beer instead, seems productive.

Tory Government were entrusted to keep the Communists at bay, and they fukking fall over a Christmas party ??

Africa only 8% vaccinated and its very mild with very low hospitalisation so how can another cardiovascular health problem increasing vaccine be viable, never mind forced on us without full information shared..revelations about hiding serious side effects within 1st 3 months of this scamdemic being released should be making pharmaceutical profit making vaccine advertising by government and science experts (so called) more cautious but they don't care about what damage is being done as they know the full extent of what they are doing won't be publicly available until 2090 when their all dead

  11. @cardplayer2124

    January 7, 2024 at 7:05 pm

The problem isn’t that he had a Christmas party. The problem is that he told people they couldn’t and then he did it anyway. Maybe politicians should just try leaving the people alone if they don’t want to be held to the same authoritarian standards…

  12. @dezperado9365

    January 7, 2024 at 7:05 pm

Update, BYW.. "Cabinet secretary was ALSO hosting Christmas parties during the same period… (this will not be investigated… he's just .. "stepped aside from handling the investigation himself…"

    January 7, 2024 at 7:05 pm

There may be a squirmy way for a lawyer to squeeze this through the window of legality… but the man on the street is NOT going to see it that way… ever..

He is going to be righteously enraged and furious at the glaring double standards.. ministers and their cronies breaking the rules… blatantly lying about it, conspiring to lie about it.. and then laughing about it afterwards while group-thinking ways to dodge the inevitable questions.

People are losing their jobs, homes and lives because of these ridiculous draconian measures that this bunch of total clowns have put into force, and the arms of the state are enforcing…. while government is laughing all the way to the bank.

"Four legs good.. two legs better…"

"Rules for thee, not for me…"

There's nothing new under the sun.

This government, like many others before them, are just GIFTING "conspiracy theorists" the ammo to shoot them down with.
    Metaphorically, obviously 😉

Johnson's clearly an inept arsehole, but god help us if he resigns and we get one of the others.

That would be funny is the pictures from the Xmas party came out and you played all these people denying that there was a party denying it and then showing their photo at the party.. and like one of them has a lamp shade on their head, and they are all taking shots and stuff lol.
