Prince Charles tells BBC his Aston Martin runs on wine and cheese – BBC News
The Prince of Wales says he understands why campaigners from organisations like Extinction Rebellion take to the streets to demand action on climate change.
But, Prince Charles said actions like blocking roads “isn’t helpful”.
Speaking in the gardens of his house on the Balmoral estate in Aberdeenshire, the prince said it had taken too long for the world to wake up to the risks of climate change.
He said he worried world leaders could “just talk” when they meet in Glasgow in November for a crucial UN climate conference.
Challenged about his own efforts to reduce his carbon footprint, Prince Charles said he had converted his favourite vehicle, an Aston Martin he has owned for 51 years, to run on what he described as “surplus English white wine and whey from the cheese process”.

Cyber Attack: Ransomware causing chaos globally – BBC News
Tens of thousands of organisations have been caught out by a computer virus called WannaCry. The malicious software locks data away and demands a payment of up to $300 (£230) a time before it will restore scrambled files. In the UK, many hospitals fell victim and some health organisations diverted ambulances and cancelled non-essential services as they sought to contain and clean up the infection. Infections in more than 99 nations are being reported by security firms. It appears that the hardest hit are Russia and Spain.

Is this AI’s moment of truth? | BBC News
A year ago, artificial intelligence was being sold as something close to science fiction — a technology that could transform society, cure disease, even reshape the global economy.
Today, the tone is changing. The companies leading the revolution are racing to the stock market — chasing billions in investment — while quietly confronting a much harder reality: AI is expensive, unpredictable, and far from profitable.
At the same time, some of the very people building this technology are warning we may be going too fast — even calling for a global pause.
And beyond Silicon Valley, a different story is emerging: growing public anxiety, political backlash, and the rise of what some are calling anti-AI populism.
So is AI entering its most pivotal moment yet — caught between financial pressure, technological risk, and political resistance?
AI Decoded Presenter Christian Fraser is joined by Financial Times AI Editor Madhumita Murgia, Thematic Strategist at Deutsche Bank Research Adrian Cox and Richard Coffin, Host of popular investing podcast ‘ The Plain Bagel’.

Queen Elizabeth did not abdicate in favor of her son, Prince Charles, because the Queen did not trust her son whatsoever.
In her own words to Prince Charles, she stated, "You are not fit to be king, and I will delay your ascension until I die."

Lol after scrolling down the comments the most crystal clear continuity is not from the content of the endless comments, but from the statisticly impossible absence of any criticism or disagreement in any sense (especially with his environmental visions) – therefore comment cherry picking and filtration is at play

It’s funny how this is coming from someone whose properties use more fossile fuel than the heating of at least 100 households. Is it not hypocritical?

It's a shame that someone who actually cares about the environment is the head of state, but he's overpowered by despicable and greedy politicians and we still end up with government and policies that harm the environment
