Reminder of why James is overrated and horrid and I'm tired of everyone pretending he was awesome. He ruins everything, was mediocre at best, and boring af, in terms of bringing any entertainment value to the show, at worst.

Barry (he plated really well), Mike (I think the crepe cake was a good idea, and he made the pancake batter), Ebbers (I would normally put him first, but although I think he did very well with what he did, I think it was a mistake to not put them on top of one another, the plan may have been confused by then, and I think if he did a cake then he should use Jamie's pancakes because three is not enough), Jamie (I think he overcomplicated it, and he should have done chocolate, but he did make pancakes), James (carrots, I can appreciate that it was something unusual but he was the one who did the carrots and then he was the only one who did not like the taste of the dish with carrots)

Why does James hate Barry? This is the 2nd time I've observed James messing with Barry in PIO. The fish and chips episode was most egregious. James set Barry up with salmon, and a pineapple sauce the he knew that Barry couldn't taste due to allergies.
James is my least favorite on Sorted. ☹

Petition to make guessing a country correctly should only be 3 pts. That way, there is still pressure to win 1 more round, or else it'll be a tie, and go to a tiebreaker!

Where it went wrong? When the two chefs especially James Ignored what the “normals” had done assuming wrongly that they would do better because they were “chefs” and put In completely inappropriate items without the time to make it work. Barry deserves a 9 Mike and Jamie also deserve better for the idea and the attempt at something far more imaginative than rolled pancakes with nuts

Jamie, I think the word you were looking for crap cake, not crêpe. It looked terrible and thought it would taste terrible, but then again I hate carrot cake.

Hope you get notified of new comments because I missed while I was driving across the USA. With 2 cats. I am catching up now. I do not watch programs while driving. Thankfully cats sleep ALOT during the day. And they knew to get off the dashboard of my truck when I turned the key. It is just a pickup truck. I do not know what the British term is. I think a “lorry” is a delivery truck? Like Amazon? It is is a regular human truck. Sorry, the point is I drove 12-14 hours a day and slept at rest areas and of I was lucky, truck stops. (They have lovely showers!). But it meant my down time was to sleep. The real truckers taught me some tricks to not freeze. They are angels.

I question every time how James is one of the chefs until I remember my sister, a professional chef, put chili powder instead of cinnamon in an apple pie

Jamie had a great suggestion: sneak vegetables in where they don't belong. Yes! As a mum trying to get more veggies into kids, we had a lot of muffins, etc. But I know the chefs can come up with some really tricky recipes 😉

I would have liked to see them be more brave and add more of the carrot and some walnut to the dish. I think it would have been to sweet as it was.
I know few will but I do like that James added carrot, I think he should have comitted with either walnut or pistachio tho, he needed to unroll the pancakes so when the carrots were soft enough they could have been placed inside, I also think there should have been a tart source dripped around the outside of the plate, or carefully splashed over the rolled Pancake at the end. I'm sure they were sickly sweet.
Also how was no alcohol used in this??

Adding carrots to a chocolate dish was definitely a cloud egg moment because why would add a new flavor right before it's getting plated by the guy after you? 😂 When you're second to last, you just need to finish up the dish and prepare the guy who's going to plate at the end.

This series is so frustrating. I feel like the normals get the concepts and then the chefs ignore the challenge and what everyone else has done already and decide they want carrots and nuts.

I think the carrots could work in desserts, but it'd have to be done right o-o also has to be the right kind.. I'm not fond of carrots generally speaking, but when I was in college.. I bought a bag of baby carrots (just to help fulfill my vegetable intake), and they were so sweet that I downed them like they were candy o-o but yea.. think people are too deep into preconceptions about carrots o;
