These dishes look lovely but when you have a soy allergy, it becomes impossible. Here in America they put soy in some form or other in almost everything. Which is why so many people are now allergic. And so sad as I love Chinese food a lot.

You can't just live on takeout and such? Hold my beer…

I want to try the lamb, tomato, and bombay mix dish. I'd try the chocolate one, but I'm not supposed to purposely have soy.

I buy instant potatoes. I got tired of instant potatoes and had to add so much to them to make them taste good, but then I found these buttery instant mash potatoes in a bag. You add hot water, stir them up, and they're done. They taste so good that I don't have to add anything to make them taste good. I don't need milk or butter to make them either.

I really like that idea about using the gnocchi on the pie. Might have to try that.

  6. @brycepatties

The way that they use the gnocchi is incredibly similar to a tater tot casserole/hot dish.

Capers, butter and pan fried salmon 👍

The gnocci hack makes me think of tator-tot hot dish from the north of the USA.

I make tuna mayo with capers and pickles. I always have both in my kitchen because I love it so much.

Capers in a Butter Chicken Cury style dish is also wonderfull with the amount of fat and cream in it.

10:39 capers are nice on pizza aswell

Okay, so there is a difference between an ingredient and a product. The bombay mix is not an ingredient. Its a product. 🙂
    Love u guys!

I would really appreciate a whole episode on capers. I would also appreciate it if you could please show us how to make these dishes from cupboard ingredients, especially this episode because these are probably the most useful and creative for me.
Thank you for these videos. Generally I like the channel because I usually learn things, not always about cooking 😂, but usually about cooking that help me. Theses are the frustrating videos because they are so good and helpful, but I am left to work out how to practically achieve these simple dishes. Once I have seen them demonstrated, it starts becoming do-able.
Thank you for reading to the end.
Just a little note: you have to make the dishes anyway, so a demonstration video would not really be that extra Mmmm.
Thank you for considering my requests and suggestions.

The inspiration that using ingredients like Bombay mix is the best thing to take away from that ingredient in particular! Using a preseasoned ingredient like a bag of crisps that would provide lots of flavour is a great hack, it provides endless possibilities and gives people the confidence to experiment with different containers of seasoned ingredients

Ebbers is just showing the guys these ‘game changing’ store cupboard ingredients so that they can use them to cook him better dishes to judge in battles 😂😂 he’s probably at the point where he’s so sick of eating the same selection of generic ingredients so he’s making them fall in love with new ingredients just so he has something new to eat rather than potatoes, pasta or rice all the time 😂

    Mind blown!🤯

Definitely this type of episode is extremely interesting.
Also Possibly another game could come from it where alternative ingredients used for everyday recipes

14:04 do the Brits still say Bombay?
