Research has actually found that appearance is not the most important factor for buyers of apples! If the taste and texture are superb enough, buyers are willing to forgo perfect looking fruit, as the shift away from the Red Delicious variety has shown. While the wolf apple is quite a bit more blemished looking than a regular apple, I feel like with a good marketing campaign they could change the optics on it

Love the video guys! Huge fan. Would anyone be able to let me know the brand of knife the boys are using? It's a beauty and I've seen it in many videos and would like to buy one.
Keep up the good work 😊

Kumquats are best massaged before being eaten. Gently knead them between your fingers until they feel like tiny water balloon. That helps release the oils in the skin.

I prefer to cut them in half because the seeds are bitter in a bad way.

Mandarinquats are a hybrid I haven't seen in a while. They are absolutely delicious. Sweeter but still very bracing.

If it was possible for the team to review subscription services that provide people access to specialty foods, like fruits or cheeses or something. That would be super cool.

Heh, EVERY shop has those melons, and they're cheap AF.

For as long as I remember, we always ate a melon a day during summer, and if they didn't have them, it was a watermelon

It's the most basic melons you can find in France

Speaking of supear, there's a Dutch dish called "stoofpeertjes" or stewed pears. It's essentially just that, pears simmered for about a day, AFAIK usually with cinnamon. Done well low and slow they turn a lovely almost wine red and are delicious. Eaten as dessert, or with a main course (akin to cranberry or lingonberry sauce or something). At least for me they're a Christmas tradition mostly but due to easy preservation enjoyed year round. You'd probably be best off with the hard as stone stewing pears used for the dish considering the outrages cooking time, but I can't say I'm not curious to see what would happen.

The All-American Burger | #BeatMyBurger ep.4

Published

on

All conjured up for Chester See… A soft brioche bun, glazed with maple and finished with bacon crumb holds the all American burger. 100% home-ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper is shaped into a 1/2 pounder, and topped with a duo of molten and oozing Monterey Jack and blue cheese as well as three rashers of crispy streaky bacon. All this is cleverly balanced out by fresh raw red onion rings, oak leaf lettuce and lashings of homemade tangy and sour chive ranch dressing. To hold it together it’s spiked with a skewer, but not any old skewer, one laden with 3 crispy, golden southern fried peppers.
