Stop thinking that anything north of Georgia is southern

Everything is, I'm sure, delicious…except stewed okra. I can just manage fried okra, but stewed just does me in. It's a texture thing.
I love Ben's "You want me to what? Oh, what the hell!" attitude. He's a real adventurer. Mike and Jamie are right behind him in effort. Charleston is the place to play!

🙄🙄🙄 Oh right…. still banging on about our ancestors and still trying ferment a guilt trip… Yeah – we ain't that anymore!!! my ancestors faught to free the slaves along with the slaves…. STOP banding us modern day whities with the old-school colonials! I detest the "modern day" banding with my great, great, great Grandfathers!!! That alone just wants me to yell something derogotary infused with a word beginning with N…. Fk off! you bunch of Charlton bandits!! You derogotary ba****s! 🤬🤬🤬We don't deserve the negativesm you are trying to associate with us that *your great, great, great ancestors did! We are!! ONE AND THE SAME! NEITHER one of us has experienced the 5417 that went down in that era!!! Just go away you ney-sayeras!!!))

Gullah we’re Not just slaves…. That’s the Lies that were taught! Gullah were also TameriKaans!! (Gewest van Florida Door Ferdinand De Soto, Map 🗺️)
The True First 🥇Americans! Their Name like their Land was Stolen then Used as those who Stole it!! FYI: Tameri means Egypt/ Good Land.

There is delicious Seafood up and down the entire east coast of the United States and west coast of the United States. There is fantastic Seafood in New England and Maine. You can really get some great Seafood almost anywhere along the thousands of miles of coastline

Southern food does not represent America. The United States has many amazing and delicious foods throughout the entire country. Fantastic food comes from the Northeast United States and New England and has nothing to do with slaves.

Gotta try that peanut + Coca Cola combo sometime. I'm Midwestern, but it made its way up here over the years and survived.

Listen…I KNOW the south. Lived here for 54 years. Fried Green Tomatoes, pimento cheese, GRITS…these things weren't "invented" in South Carolina. Y'all need to pump your brakes a bit. A LOT of this stuff is "Southern"…not "South Carolina". I LOVE Charlestown. Beautiful city. Great food. But a lot of this stuff is endemic to the "South"…NOT South Carolina. It's a South Carolinian twist on traditional southern food. Sure…SOME of those items are "traditional" SC food (She-Crab Soup, Red-Corn Whiskey) but just slow your roll a bit. Compare to Atlanta, New Orleans, Gulf Coast Mississippi…We ALL have our twist on "Southern Food".

I had a girlfriend who's Dad would pick fresh penuts and his wife would boil them straightaway with salt. Nothing compares. So good whn pulled out of the dirt and cooked immediately.

Maybe a world class bbq scene. Idk about a food scene. To me world class means you have to have tons of different cultures represented,

8:15. That is the first time I've heard anyone refer to an established formed in 1982 as the 1900s😂. That's like someone in the future 2123 referring to an establishment formed in 2082, as the 2000s . Technically yes, but too soon.

I wish I could trust the seafood from the Gulf of Mexico. Texas is a dangerous, polluted place. The oil bubbles up, through the sand. It is not about the petroleum industry. It is natural. The beaches in texas are covered in tar balls. The beaches here smell like a gas station filled with dead fish. Do a Google search, of “the most beautiful beach in texas.” Every photo will look the same. Every one.

Am I the only one, who really wants into those red shorts? No. I cannot be.🤗🤗🤗🤗💋💋🫶🏻🫶🏻🇺🇸🌸

I wish there was anything like this, for texas. My mother’s people have been here, for 176 years, and I cannot recall any specific dish. They were all terrible. The meats were always over cooked, and the veg was always mush. My mother’s best dish was spaghetti sauce, with ground beef, and sweet and spicy Italian sausage. She cooked it for 2 days. Other than that, I have literally no happy food memories of texas. Only bad memories…
