Can Sunak Bring It Back in 2024?

Published

on

With the Tories mired in poor polling and an election imminent in 2024, many have written off Sunak’s chances of being re-elected. But how is the incumbent Prime Minister planning on turning his fortunes around with the electorate? And could it even work?

It's funny how the torries are trying to push this "badboy politician" vibe onto Sunak to keep him around, the entire party is a clown show.

If labour get in next time people will tire of all their blunders too. So eventually it’ll shift towards a party that’s never had majority control.

I really hate to say it, but there’s enough bigoted seniors in Britain to put the Tory’s back into power for another 5 years… people need to think very carefully how they vote in 2024.

"The Tories"? What Tories? They are high tax, high spend, pro-warmist, pro-mass immigration Social Democrat globalist puppets like the other two parties. At least there some people working for us in the party – a small band of "rebels" – but they are being purged one by one. LibLab are 100% captured against about 95% for Con.

He couldn’t beat Luz Truss. The longer he stays he loses the resurgency appeal. Comparison with 1992 is absurd Kinnock was oppo leader for too long

  30. @DevonPixie1991

    January 4, 2024 at 5:31 pm

Halving the wait lists is simply making harder to get seen in a hospital setting. I found to get treatment needed I had to go private as on the NHS they refused to list me for the surgery I needed as there was a wait. Sneaky back door way of getting the list down as I then didn’t register on the wait lists of further treatment down the line

  31. @cinderball1135

    January 4, 2024 at 5:31 pm

TL/DR, this is a horrible take. You are arguing that a man who was beaten by Liz Truss in a debate is somehow going to be able to wrongfoot an experienced criminal prosecutor, someone who has already thrashed him repeatedly in recent PMQs, and that through the singular force of personality, Sunak is somehow going to blindside a population that hates the Tories for ruining their lives over the past 13 years?

What particularly offends me though is your suggestion that this election could be a repeat of 1992: that is the sort of comment which betrays an absolute lack of understanding of political history. In 1992, Neil Kinnock technically had a lead, but it was very short-lived and only a few points. He never had the kind of commanding poll lead that Labour has had for the last year, nor could he claim to have been ahead in the polls for two or three years straight, as Starmer can.

If you don't have someone on the team who can actually provide you with an understanding of British political history, please hire one. Coverage like this is so bad as to actually distort people's understanding of the issues, rather than bringing them up to speed.

  32. @sierrafive863

    January 4, 2024 at 5:31 pm

    No.
    The Tories are dead.

  33. @liamwarren7590

    January 4, 2024 at 5:31 pm

As if it isn't just easier for Starmer to come up with some policies and take a stance.

Never trust Labours ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

  36. @MrMichaeljhinde

    January 4, 2024 at 5:31 pm

Tbf a mouldy lettuce could beat Liz Truss in a live debate so I'm not sure Team Rish! Should put too much faith in that win being replicated against even the very bland Starmer… Accepting that the favourite can only ever really lose by doing those debates (making Trump's absence at the Republican ones a fairly smart move)

  37. @et34t34fdf

    January 4, 2024 at 5:31 pm

Think they will win again, actually, or only lose very narrowly.

People in the UK are so damn conservative, they simply cant stop voting Tories, no matter how much they screw up.

In nay case, if Labour actually wins, Tories will sweep election after, and stay in power for another generation, probably even with Farage as PM.

  38. @micheleedwin4004

    January 4, 2024 at 5:31 pm

    Hope not!

  39. @patdarby2705

    January 4, 2024 at 5:31 pm

Roland Puppetnak's plan all along has been to work in cahoots with the WEF, EU and globalists to ensure Labour win the next election. It is the only plan Puppetnak has, and it is all going to plan.
