My heart when Jamie said "kladdkaka" let me say I was suprised at least 😂 Im from sweden and here we sometimes make kladdkaka to our "fika". Kladdkaka is a swedish word "kladd" means something like sticky or smudgy and "kaka" is just the plain namn for cake. So a sticky chocolate (often) cake that is similar to a brownie or a french choclate cake is what Kladdkaka is. A fun fact our swedish kladdkaka have a own day when we celebrate it we bake it or buy it and eat it alot on that day and it happens to be today (7 november). We also have cinnamonbunday 4 october, carrotcakeday 3 february, nutelladay 5 february, the halfeggday 8 february, mustardday 3 august and so on.. we have a day for everything and therefore we have a reason to celebrate everyday 👌😅 And at last Im happy that you pay attention to sweden not only by the dreadful "surströmming " the fermented fish (🤢) but also for the kladdkaka ❤ And Ebbers actualy kladdkaka does NOT need to "sit" for a few hours its just baked short and have to chill then done. I can give you a proper recipe that can be used for fika and afternoon tea around the world. And dont forget the whipped cream and some berries to go with that. ❤❤❤❤

Make the first person in the order choose the theme

One thing i realized on a rewatch, Ben says you need 3-4 cm before they go into the oven on the scones…and yet the original recipe that Jamie was using that was probably written by ben says 2 cm lol

    Egg in scone ????!!

Laughing cause I realised Barry just has a go-to bark he does when he's excited. He doesn't just go 'WOO' or 'YEAH' he just defaults to 'RUH RUH RUH RUH RUH-' XD

  13. @albertoroche9831

    January 4, 2024 at 8:35 pm

You should do a Pass It On where the middle person knows the theme/recipe and everyone else is out of the loop. Really throw people off when they start cooking steak when the dish is Fish & Chips lol

  14. @04nimmot

    January 4, 2024 at 8:35 pm

Still easily the best pass it on

  15. @morphman86

    January 4, 2024 at 8:35 pm

Spaff going "kladdkaka" made me laugh.
It's a traditional Swedish treat from way back, when most women in Sweden were still home makers full time.

When Ben said it takes a long time… It takes almost a full day to make. You start it in the morning right after the kids have gone to school and it'll be ready just in time for dessert after supper.

I love how Ben goes "Do i need to make a jam? Wait there is a jam. …jam's in the fridge, good" proceed without checking
So much faith in the normals. 🤌I would've checked regardless of the time limit just to be sure i wouldn't be screwed in the last minute.😅

Favourite sandwich of the week: Dark toasted bread : a load of cream cheese mashed thawed green peas, some chopped cashew or other nuts and some sprouts. – Love to try a new sandwich every week – such an underrated food 🙂

i've been watching Pass It On (from the latest one to here choosing random episodes) and this is the best and most successful one i think 🎉

"Patted with tepid milk from your clammy cupped hand" is an all time top ten Janice quote.

  22. @SailorIda3

    January 4, 2024 at 8:35 pm

Ben is correct. A kladdkaka should rest in the fridge for a minimum of an houer. I dont think there is a single swede who eats it directly from the owen. It just needs to be chilled.

  25. @Tomp4ul

Not a fan of pass it on

  27. @ethancampbell215

I think this was probably one of Barry’s best performances yet one of his lowest scores, he really is the gift that keeps on giving. I mean add a load of lime pickle to a dish and get an 8, yet actually be sensible and create a good desert as a component to the final dish and he scores himself a 6. Shame he’s too critical on himself when he doesn’t cause chaos😂😂

  28. @lindathomas5500

    January 4, 2024 at 8:35 pm

😂 😂 I’m from Cornwall, would just like to say “Jam first!” 🤣

  29. @blueowl3474

Mike did super well this episode despite panicking, it seems like he's constantly underestimating himself

  30. @Aprl521

    January 4, 2024 at 8:35 pm

I really like that tea set.

  31. @EllieElizabethE

    January 4, 2024 at 8:35 pm

Can I just say that kladdkaka doesn't need to take a few hours, my mom makes it by basically melting butter in a skillet before mixing in all the dry stuff then stiring and putting it in a pan to go into the oven. It doesn't take alot of time or effort and still comes out chocolaty and gooey and just delicious. So you should try and make it that way.

  32. @raideurng2508

    January 4, 2024 at 8:35 pm

Jamie made pastry and set a timer? Barry follows the theme? Mike didn't panic and light things on fire?
    PROGRESS
