how come there's no comments mentioning the "some cheeses are nice, somerset apart. and those tend to be from Bungay" line from Mike!! that's hilarious

All jokes aside hemp was quite normal crop in the past and was actually often seeded around by birds as birds love its seed – it is very nutritious. You would have to smoke hay stack of hemp to even get a buzz so there is no use of it in that matter. In the village where my parents lived they used to farm it a lot, for rope, for oil, eating leaves etc, animal feed. It was a normal resilient crop that could just sprout out anywhere, all until the drug variety spoiled it all. Because the plants look alike there was a case I think in Serbia, where an old lady was arrested because of hemp and then released once they tested it. It is so sad it is not farmed any more as it was also source of food for many wild birds. All because people can't make a difference and there is a stigma now.

Worth adding Timanoix to your next cheese tasting. Never tasted anything like it – very, very nutty.
And maybe a gjetost – like savoury caramac.

People in the rest of the world get the best cheeses. We have to use Pasteurized milk in making Cheeses over here, and that results in cheeses that are more alike than they are different.

So proud of Mike for his cheese appreciation journey. It's easy to just avoid food you don't like, so for him to actively try to find some positive cheese experiences is really cool.

You laugh about it hemp being found in the garden same thing happened to my grandmother about 20 years ago.

She had a bird feeder and under it a plant started to grow, she thought it was interesting and potted it. My aunt who was a police office told her she wasn't going to arrest her for it! Lol
