BBQ COLA STEAK RECIPE | Sorted Food

Published

on

Stick with us on this one, yes… We’re using a can of cola to help marinade out steak… No we’re not mental, honest!!

Marinades for steaks don’t come much better than this recipe. Using a can of coke this beef steak marinade is sweet, sticky, smoky and just plain awesome. The sugar and fizz from the cola tenderises the beef and creates something that is screaming out to be thrown on a searingly hot BBQ grill.

Hmm. Are you supposed to be a chef? You're telling people to use a knife to cut corn on the cob in half! Surely you should know that it breaks so easily compared to cutting it, which is not at all easy.

this is a very classic southern US style of marinade, cause it's CHEAP (moreso than just regular BBQ sauce, anyway, as it's basically all the same ingredients) but hearing a bunch a brit-boys moaning over pouring coke makes me laugh. and makes me wonder how brits de-corrode car batteries?

My friend did a pulled pork version of this for sandwiches only without the nasty peppers and the pepper and all of those gross vegetables other than the potatoes and the corn
