France moves to ban short-haul domestic flights – BBC News
French MPs have moved to ban short, internal flights in a bid to reduce carbon emissions.
Lawmakers voted in favour of a bill to end routes where the same journey could be made by train in under two-and-a-half hours.
This could affect travel between Paris and cities such as Nantes, Lyon and Bordeaux. However, connecting flights would not be affected.
The planned measures will face a further vote in the Senate before becoming law.

Russia hits train in Ukraine after Boris Johnson, top European officials leave station | BBC News
A Russian drone has hit a train near the Ukraine-Poland border shortly after former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and top European security officials had passed through.
No casualties were reported after the strike at Yahodyn, which hit the train’s engine. All the passengers had been evacuated, Ukrainian authorities said.
Johnson and other European national security advisers, including the UK’s Jonathan Powell, had passed along the same line on a different train on their way back from a conference in Kyiv.
Russia said it had struck “railway infrastructure” in western Ukraine, but Ukraine’s state railway company Ukrzaliznytsia said that “quite possibly, the target of this drone could have been the diplomatic train”.

Nato is urged to target Russian drones over Ukraine and other top stories | Global News Podcast
A US-based think tank, the Institute for the Study of War, has said Nato should consider intercepting Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace, after a drone struck a train near the Polish border. The attack happened soon after a train carrying top European security officials and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson had passed through the same station. The Nato chief Mark Rutte said Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure near the bloc’s territory would not undermine the alliance’s unity or its support for Ukraine.

The best thing that a country can do. I lived in France and can easily say that France has one of the best trains and rail way in the world and who ever does not travel with train is really a show off.

I feel like this is very much a step in the right direction! Very happy that France is taking the pioneering role in banning the most destructive type of air travel. From a legislative perspective, this is the right way to go. However, European governments need to develop a plan on how air travel and train travel will go forth after the Pandemic is over. Travelling within the EU will increase drastically after all bans are lifted, making it the ideal time to implement new taxation plans for air travels (much overdue in my opinion) and making trains more accessible and affordable within the EU.

So in USA they "temporarily" suspended the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. I recall that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a “viral vector” vaccine, the same active ingredient as AstraZeneca, and therefore it is not surprising that it gave rise to the same thrombotic risk through the formation of clots.
However, the "mRna" vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna, certainly do not enjoy a better reputation, since some leading virologists, following serious adverse reactions occurring after their administration, have begun to suspect their safety, not collected by the press. Following these warnings, I decided to do a personal research and I found two interesting studies on the subject, which I published a few days ago, hoping that some independent virologist would analyze them to understand if the thesis contained in them had any foundation. It is true that the two studies predate the creation of anticovid vaccines, but it is also true that this is more in their favor than against, as they cannot be suspected of malicious bias towards these vaccines. In them is expressed the thesis according to which the substances introduced into the body in order to neutralize the spike protein, can cause an abnormal and disproportionate reaction of the antibodies, such as to create serious damage to the lungs, as their experiments on animals have shown . It is known that current mRna vaccines are based precisely on the principle of neutralization of the spike protein.
I always hope that more serious checks will be carried out and without conflict of interest, but at the same time I fear that the vaccine machine will instead be pushed to an ever greater speed, without any regard for any risks that its run entails. On the other hand, in the last press conference, our Prime Minister Draghi told us in no uncertain terms that if we want to return to enjoy some minimum freedom, we will have to undergo perpetual vaccinations several times a year, against all viruses and possible variants, up to the complete implementation of the vaccination plan. In the same conference he added, with a strange expression on his face, that future contracts with pharmaceutical companies will be done a little better than those of the previous government. So I asked myself: better in what sense?
