The problem is inflation which he fails to talk about, the fact to lower the inflation to 2% the BOE has to raise the interest rate above the inflation, can the BOE do that without causing a major recession? No, they can't, they can't even go to 5% inflation is here to stay, right now it's up to the government to cut spending and raise taxes and cause a recession or the BOE to raise the interest rate above inflation and cause a recession, the government will settle with the BOE to do it so they don't take the blame and say the BOE is independent.

They're not easing for citizens with food inflation @ 40%, they aren't even attempting to control it. Your savings have already lost 10% of their value over the last year
thanks to govt inaction over controlling inflation.

If those percentage tax figures are correct how is it they pay hardly any taxes ? Also in fracking is worth £4 trillion overall , that would be enough to pay off our national debt,so why has Sunak banned it ? He cannot be looking to make this country wealthy can he ??

I thought Brexit was about taking back control & sovereignty. Our country as just experienced unknown & unnamed financial organisations in the so called ‘market’ significantly change UK Government Policy & bring down a UK Prime minister & Government. These figures in the ‘market’ could be Russian, Chinese or other agencies hostile to the UK. Thank you to all those who voted Brexit and can Farage explain this

Why has Liam’s show ‘On the Money’ been cancelled. I liked to watch it while having lunch. Now he pops up all over the shop on different peoples shows when he knows more than half of them put together. 😊

    So,
The average worker pays a minimum of 50 years tax and class 2 and class 4 national insurance.
My private pension statement gave me a monthly figure when I retire and my fund would not be exhausted until I was 125 years old. If I only live until 75, who gets the rest of my hard earned pension pot????

  13. @michaelmorley6522

    December 30, 2023 at 1:59 am

Pensioners in 🎉totality when they were working never paid enough in to cover the cost of keeping them in their old age. The consequences of this are the young loaded with student debt, house prices they can’t afford and rising tax rates. The lockdown during the pandemic was not to protect the young. These are hugely difficult times and perfectly reasonable to alter manifesto commitments. Any pension increases should be carefully targeted.

How have they got the nerve to raise our taxes when we are spending an absolute fortune on migration illegal migration is disgusting absolutely disgusting that we can have no say in where our money goes

Just like fuel prices. They went through the ceiling, came down a bit and now they are going up again. I recognise a pattern

Once Blackrock had their people in place, the 'markets' stood down their attack.

If they start messing with the triple lock there are two points. Firstly, maintenance of the triple lock was promised in the Tory general election mandate and secondly, Sunak paid out billions of newly invented money in the furlough payments during COVID for which we are now paying the inflation price.

  19. @arthurdinucci

    December 30, 2023 at 1:59 am

They should scrap HS2 – which is simply sucking money out of the economy and putting back decades of infrastructure and other necessary works – foreign aid – arms for Ukraine – Greenfoolery subsidies – add up to a train wreck for the UK – these people are not even rearranging the decks on the Titanic they're sitting tight until the music stops and boat is sunk – then farmer Billy Boy Gates will be along with his life boat – they assume.

People are being played, this so called good news is to ease the PM into his WEF position in No.10. If their guy hadn't made it to NO.10 the cabal would have spewed out nothing but negative news to screw them up. It's all BS, the West is doomed.

    Will Rishi's magic last long?

  22. @michaelicornelius

    December 30, 2023 at 1:59 am

Sunak saying he's inherited an awful position is utter BS – who was running the economy until last July – erm let me see Ah it was Sunak!, energy prices had already risen due to the stupid sanctions, our money – the government have none – the wasteful expenditure on Covid and vast amounts of money given to Ukraine – a well know corrupt and money laundering country, alongside crippling net zero costs and taxes.

Funny we're in this mess partly because of the PM and his party….

Watch as Will Kensington expresses concern about the state of the UK, arguing that Downing Street is no longer a place of power but has instead become Britain’s most expensive Airbnb.
