But the problem is, no matter what you try to cut funding, there is a group who will freak out if you cut that funding, and that group will freak out the public against you. It's the public that causes all the wasteful funding.

All for scrapping nonsense but British culture and heritage should be protected even historical rail lines and bridges epically with the fact Britain was built off the rail lines nothing better that riding on a steam train better than modern ones especially with how much they have wasted on hs2 for what to cut a few minutes of travel times

  33. @manofbeard

    December 29, 2023 at 3:15 am

Put me in charge! No more migrants of any kind untill the whole shambolic system is sorted out! No more ministers and their personal pet projects. Sack all those clowns in the house of clowns. Get rid of inept and corrupt managers within the NHS. Get Brexit finalised once and for all. Start taxing bigger companies like Amazon ect that run their businesses here but replace hard working people by automation. Tougher penalties for criminals. Even give the public the right to vote on the death penalty! No more subsidies for Universities that do nothing but educate students on anything that’s basically anti British. Scrap the BS Green initiatives once and for all and start drilling g in our own back yard for oil. No more paying the French to take the piss by not stoping criminals from sending migrants to the UK. ECHR has to go! And no more sticking our noses into Ukraine! It’s none of our business. And that’s just for starters.

Infrastructure spending and investment is the best way for the U.K. economy to start growing. HS2 isn’t a tourist rail line, Germany, France, Spain and Italy all have massive amounts of high speed rail and it benefits their economies massively

How right you are Eamon, yes so many do gooders and as you say to many pressure groups, and we can't protect our own country, government wasters, no backbone we need to scrap the existing system run the country like a proper busness bring in a proper legal system clean up crime, and return illegal migrants back to where they came from and stop paying £8m+ ADAY to keep them, lets be honest what are we going to do with near a million so called asylum seekers, there is no answer from the spineless government, let's get real enough is enough

Andy Burnham reacts to DEVASTATING Stourbridge fires as homes GUTTED: “Never seen anything like it”

Published

on

By

Andy Burnham has visited families in Stourbridge after seeing the scenes of houses devastated by fires.

The Prime Minister outlined his plans to support those affected by the destruction, as he issued a temporary ban on the sale of disposable barbecue.

The ban comes into force today.

Speaking about the fires in Stourbridge, he said: “I’ve never seen anything like it. I mean, I dealt with wildfires in Greater Manchester, but nothing on this scale. I’ve never seen scenes like this in Britain, where you just see a whole house gutted, smouldering.

“And I met one of the families whose house had gone up in that in that way, so you can imagine how distressing that is for for them, and you feel for them and their kids, and not to go elsewhere.

“You know, it’s just unbelievably devastating for people in this in this position. So that’s why I’m here. I just wanted to show that, you know, we’re on the ground.

“We understand how difficult this is for everybody, and we will put in place the support to help people get back to where they should be as soon as possible.”

We now live in GASLIT BRITAIN

Published

on

By

Mark Littlewood says “we now live in gaslit Britain” after it emerged the Home Office published a guide for illegal migrants on how “not to rape women”.

It is just one of the resources available in a collection titled: “Understanding behaviours and expectations in the UK: a guide for asylum seekers”.

Posters and information on rape, the age of consent and child abuse are among the guides to help asylum seekers “understand what is expected when living in the UK”.

The guidance highlights child rape is illegal “even if they look older” or if “it is allowed in another country”.

Speaking to Patrick Christys on GB News, political commentator Mark Littlewood said: “This pamphlet is extraordinary. And the reason I find it so extraordinary and disturbing is if you need that pamphlet, I don’t want you anywhere near my country.”

A Home Office spokesperson told GB News: “We expect everyone who comes to the UK to abide by our laws.

“If they do not, they will face consequences, including the refusal of their asylum claim and removal from the UK.

“Returns of failed asylum seekers have reached their highest level since 2010 under this Government.”

British burqa ban? GB News guest urges UK to follow Portugal

Published

on

By

Tiffany Marie Brannon has urged Britain to introduce a burqa ban after Portugal did so.

Portugal has banned face-coverings in public in a measure widely seen as a “burka law” targeting Muslim women.

President António José Seguro signed into law a bill that originated with the hard right-wing Chega party.

The policy was adopted by Lisbon in July with votes from the right-wing governing coalition and the hard right, while left-wing parties voted against it.

Speaking on The Late Show Live on GB News, Tiffany Marie Brannon argued that the issue raises wider questions about integration, cultural identity and the role of religious dress in British public life, as the debate over face coverings continues to divide opinion.
