I’ve only recently discovered these videos and think they are great and love the “guys” but all this nonsense about “ethically sourced” food is just that – nonsense. We, as average urban consumers, have really no idea how foodies grown and harvested from grains to fish. All we have is what these well marketed and packaged products tell us. And when the whole world is trying to convince you that from the most expensive restaurant I Dubai to the simplest squeeze bottle of ketchup that the product you are buying is the best quality – it just can’t be so. I’m sure everything tastes as good as these guys are telling us it does but I don’t buy all the nonsense that is put in the marketing and branding. Sorry I know that cynical – but I think with ( billion people on the planet it’s also true and we are allowing ourselves to believe what makes us feel good about eating. I don’t think we should feel bad about eating. We’re meant to eat. What we should feel bad about is waste. If you’re luck enough to have it to eat – don’t waste it. And sharing is good too.

The Poke kit was definitely not Poke. I guess not everyone can come to Hawaii and have the real thing. I suppose I should be grateful the vendor didn't say it was "authentic".

What you've got there is a Jewish style babka, which might have originated from using leftover challah (the dough made to celebrate Shabbat each week) to make treats, whereas "Polish babka" is a batter bread that looks like a cake with different fruits in it, and is often served at Easter

Aloha! That’s not a poke bowl. Poke is marinated raw fish or seafood, sometimes served on rice. Edamame goes in a separate bowl. It’s so frustrating that such a good local dish has been spoiled and corrupted so much.

If I called my Polish grandma babka she would be pissed off. We use babcia instead. Babka is either not a nice word for grandma or an Easter cake. Don't risk your life by calling babcia babka 😂
