Yesterday (1st April) MPs had another chance to vote on a series of options for Brexit. Unfortunately, none of the options got enough support to get a majority. So we discuss the motions MPs couldn’t accept, and what this defeat means for the future of Brexit

Two-thirds of UK citizens eligible to vote voted on whether or not to break with the EU. The problem with that is not one of them knew what they were voting on. Breaking with the EU is incredibly complex and most of the methods so far imagined come with consequences that are unacceptable. No one knows what Brexit is to this day, because no plan for it has been agreed on. Let me reiterate because there is no possible way to understate how FUCKING INSANE it is: Two thirds of the voting populace of the UK voted on something without knowing what it is.

It's funny that one of the reasons for brexit was that it would allow the UK to make better laws for themselves. I'm just wondering how they are able to make any kind of laws at all, if they cannot even agree with one subject (and accept the good and bad with it, whatever it is)

Instead of voting for or against each motion, why can’t parliament have a “first past the post” style vote on the amendments with a narrow margin? I am genuinely asking. Is there a legal reason why that wouldn’t work?

Initially, to an outsider, having a 2nd round of votes to let the british public decide if they would like a certain exit plan looks like a good idea.
But then again it is the british public that voted for Brexit in the first place, so maybe not that good of an idea after all.

What in God’s name would make MPs believe that, once again, asking the public to make a major decision on a complicated issue they didn’t fully understand was going to help move things forward…again! This is a corrupted time line. In the real time line there was no referendum, the issue was never considered and we're all living quite happily in a stable economy having never even heard of the 'B' word.

It's becoming increasingly apparent to me that Democracy as a system is incompatible with social welfare and female voting. Either we go back to only male, cutthroat meritocratic Democracy where best alpha ruler tramples over everyone, and those not best get humiliated, jailed or assassinated, or we just admit Democracy and meritocracy isn't working, and switch to socialism, with goverment going to whomever promises the most or has most intersectionality.

Isn’t it obvious. There was a vote, people voted to the leave the EU. It didn’t matter how, we left that to parliament. Parliament tried everything, it was all rejected. That leaves us one option left, No deal. There shouldn’t be a second referendum, that keeps happening to everything voted on publicly in the EU it’s sickening, they’ll get us to keep voting until the get the correct result. Accept the no deal.

I'm baffled on this gridlock with the Conservatives. If Conservatives truly want the UK to leave the EU, there's seems to be only really 2 choices. 1) Brexit with May's negotiated deal or 2) a hard Brexit with no deal. The biggest issue with May's deal is the backstop. Everything else, while there's some disagreements, they're willing to accept. But what I don't understand is that the hard Brexit, would immediately call for border checks between Ireland and N. Ireland, which according to everyone is not the situation they want to be in. Conservatives don't want a backstop, don't want a border, but also don't have a clear alternative. Even if they have a viable alternative, the EU and it's 27 member countries have to agree and so further negotiations are needed.

The EU keeps saying that a No Deal becomes more and more probable. But the EU fears a No Deal more than anything, which is shown in the frequent delays. If the UK had insisted on a No Deal in the first place and argued from a position of strength, the UK would have achieved a Good Deal already. This poor strategy results in a Soft Brexit no one seems to be satisified with.
