It seems pretty much a certainty that Andy Burnham will be the next British prime minister. Exactly when it happens depends on a few factors. We outline some of the reasons an early general election is likely.

Sorry for the pretty rough audio. I started writing this video at 1130 last night, finished the animation at about 2am and then recorded the audio early this morning in my shed to avoid waking anyone. Turns out that recordings on MacBooks in sheds aren't the highest quality… – Jack

Your headline asks 'Why the Former Speaker abandoned the Conservatives'. For anyone in the UK, with half a brain, the answer is blindingly obvious…………..the man is an utter and complete arrogant wanker! Question answered.

John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Simple ! He's got a conscience and he will be invaluable as 2 present the Labour Party ( my party) in a good light ! Of course he is believable and after what's happened in this country it's no wonder a thoroughly decent man wants different 4 his own and every1 else other than a transfixed illogical and dangerous attitude or aptitude towards the working class even the disabled and the impoverished through Tory idealism that means punishing the innocents?!?!?! Haway john bercow ya welcome !!!!!

Wow a politician with a record of doing the right thing even at detriment to his own career. Who stands buy his own changing point of view and acts on it. Not afraid to criticize past prime ministers no matter which party they were in?
wow maybe an actually good politician does exist?

December 26, 2023 at 10:39 am
It seems hard to believe that Bercow would want revenge over not receiving a peerage, especially since he turned it down from Labour. (which isn't to say he didn't want 'revenge', but I'm sceptical it would be over that in particular).
