With prices rocketing, the inflation blame game is now in full swing. Some commentators blame Putin; others blame energy companies but there’s also an interesting case to be made that Brexit is at least partly to blame.

Spain suffered covid, but has an inflation rate about half that of Britain and is achieving strong economic growth. Brexit is the main cause of Britain's economic woes.

I suppose Argentina can blame UK for 💯 + inflation
Talk some crap you lot do
Inflation is down to people's wages increasing
Fuel down to our past politicians for selling everything to other countries
The rest is just greedy business trying to rake in what they lost during pandemic
@willieckaslike

Whilst I would agree with most of this (Brexit being partly to blame) The British have really bought this upon themselves, including the vote to leave. But the greatest fault lies not with the international communities but your own, your very own corruption riddled Administration !

Who said “the UK should stand alone, if necessary, for European freedom, adding: "We are taunted—by the French, by the Italians, by the Spaniards—for refusing to worship at the shrine of a common government superimposed upon them all…. where were the European unity merchants in 1940? I will tell you. They were either writhing under a hideous oppression or they were aiding and abetting that oppression. Lucky for Europe that Britain was alone in 1940”……Enoch Powell

9 June 2022. It estimated the impact of Brexit on the UK economy as a 5.2% reduction in GDP, a 13.7% fall in investment, and 13.6% fall in trade, compared to a “modelled 'doppelgänger' group of countries.

I'm due to negotiate my wage with my employer, I only get this opertunity once a year as per my work contract. I have no clue what kind of a percentage mark up to ask for in order to ensure I'm not worse off this time next year than I am this year. This isnt even fear mongering this is genuinely scary.

No, inflation is caused by the printing of money. We created 20% of all GBP in the last two years, that is what is causing iinflation.
