Let me tell you as a Sudanese citizen who has been threatened, attacked and kicked out of my house in Khartoum. This is 5 month old video at the moment, I only now found the internet connection to view it. The Sudanese army is complicit in crimes in Darfor: but the one in charge then was the Basheer government, not al burhan. Hemediti was a literal bandit turned mercenary hired to do the army's job because the soldiers used to refuse the command's genocidal orders. He was Al-basheer hound dog; Al-basheer summoned him to the capital to protect him from the army during the 2019 demonstrations. He then betrayed al-basheer and ousted him with the army.
The Central for Freedom and Change, now the civilian in charge, no one knows why they decided to join forces with them and anointed al Burhan the highest military leader – Burhan wasn't the highest ranking general then.
In April, the Central for Freedom and Change + Hemedti RSF decided on a coup to oust Burhan – their plan was a day or so operation, with them announcing their government together. the RSF was gathering forces in Khartoum for months beforehand – Every day we saw new equipment brought in. Except they failed to get Burhan and the coup itself failed.

So far this conflict was political… it devolved however by the RSF; they started taking shelter inside citizens' homes , kicking/ forcing/ killing them out to leave; when things got desperate for them, they called on other militias in Africa (now the bulk of them) and set them loose in Khartoum; they continued to evict citizens, random killings and more. They began looting everything, from banks to stores, homes whatever and escaping with them. Sexual violence became common practice for them; rape cases became common, they abduct and rape women and children, sometimes demanding a ransom, other times they take'em to sell as slaves in central africa.
Now, they don't even fight the army, which stays in their bases. every day they terrorise the citizens- and they still dare call their fight a one for democracy. The Central for Freedom and Change still support them in them – they're all backed by the UAE and their PR team is strong internationally. They paint a picture of the army being at fault and them fighting for the citizens. All Sudanese now hate the RSF and the Central for F&C with a passion and no one would accept a resolution that allows them in power in again. Everyone now supports the army in this battle – me included. The war has shown us who truly has the country's best interest at heart. The UAE is the main backer of the RSF; providing weapons and capital and their public image. Many betrayed and sold Sudan to UAE interests but the majority still stands. we know who our enemy is, we won't yield. This battle will end with the Army and the Sudanese people's victory, We'll go back home no matter how long it takes. We'll hold everyone responsible accountable to their crimes and we'll build Sudan great again. I was never patriotic, but this war has taught me to value my country- I'm amazed and appaled how could anyone sell out their country.

There are no SIDES to this war, it is the national army(army of the Sudanese people) and a Militia called RSF with mercenary from Mali, Niger, Central Africa Chad.

Sudanese Army has proven to be impenetrable & invincible barrier in the face of those thirsty for Sudanese resources and blood.

The Sudanese have never been so aligned behind their army since the British colonisation.

    Peace!

Sudan still doing well after independence, then? Let me just say what should be blindingly obvious to anybody – Sudan was better off under the British, who provided roads, drainage, medical care, clean water, regular food and vaccinations for children. The present Sudanese "leaders" provide only war, weapons and expensive consumer goods for themselves and their families.

What about more contraceptives and less weapons and people's money invested in a good way in Sudan instead of keeping it by corrupt politicians and businesspeople in foreign banks?

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News

Published

on

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.

In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

on

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.
