Ukraine trying to ramp up weapon production | BBC News
Ukraine has admitted that its shortage of artillery ammunition will continue.
And with a major military aid package stalled in US Congress there have been dire warnings about the country’s long-term ability to win the war against Russia.
Ukraine’s Deputy Defence Minister General Ivan Gavryliuk has said however that funding will continue.
But he added that Ukraine is making plans to increase its domestic military production.

It has been five years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, as western forces left, imposing their extreme, ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam on millions of people.
Their return to power brought relative peace to the country after two decades of war.
But Afghan women have been erased from public life. Girls are banned from school from the age of 12, and aren’t allowed to go to university.
Public parks are also off limits to women – and they can’t travel abroad without a male companion.

China has warned there is a “high risk” that a lake which formed after the recent landslide near the Nepal-Tibet border may breach its banks, causing a second flood downstream.
The warning comes after Wednesday’s deadly flash flood in the same area which has killed more than 500.
Scientists say it was triggered by the collapse of a mountain glacier into a river.

Here’s a thought.
While America seemingly deliberately encouraged this war and deliberately turn the funding ‘taps’ off as they please (a bit like their ally Israel), they may well be deliberately handing Russia a base to expand throughout Europe as a justification for a large scale war down the line.
IF Ukraine are stepping up trying to produce arms only now, will Russia walk into a country that’s useless for most things other than weapons and food production in 2 years time when they finally win the conflict?
Seems to me the food and weapons production facilities for which the grounds will be laid would be excellent for both them and China at that point should things go pear shaped when China makes its Taiwan move down the line?
They have large numbers and would have the means to produce weapons and food to arm and feed them and a great strategic base point to face mainland Europe when the time comes.

Zelenskys mistake is not using the $111 billion annual funding leopards and bradleys to build up Ukraines military covertly over time. This way when trouble comes (and it will) and Russia starts an offensive, Ukraine will once again have weapons to stop Russian advance. Instead Zelensky blew all the funding and leopards on a poorly planned out offensive and is now left with nothing and waning support. All for nothing as they say.
