Fentanyl: Why are so many Americans dying from synthetic opioids? – BBC News
Fentanyl is a potent and highly addictive synthetic opioid, approved for use in the US in the 1960s.
Today, Fentanyl is involved in more deaths in Americans under the age of 50 than any other cause of death, according to the country’s Drug Enforcement Agency.
And now child opioid deaths are also on the rise.

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News
The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.
In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News
President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.
He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.
Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.
Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.
The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

New explosions near Iranian port cities, says state media | BBC News
Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.

Meanwhile, the US military says it completed strikes on targets aimed at degrading “Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping” – Iranian state media reports three people were killed.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News
The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.
Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.
President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.

I was (mis)diagnosed with not only SAD and Anxiety disorder but Chemical-imbalance which has been formerly known as alcoholism/drug addiction, I fell into the trap of accepting the "fact" that I'm going to die a Heroin addict and an Alcoholic, tossed my career, all my possessions, marriage, relationship with my loved ones, down the drain to become a career "street pharmacist". I traded my brother's and sisters marriages, my grandparents funerals, quality time with my close friends and loved ones for a circular-life fueled by addiction, violence, pain, anger, withdrawal and blaming others for the mistakes I made. Meanwhile God was patiently waiting and protecting me… Although it took me well over 10 years, I gave up the self-reliant lifestyle to our Lord Jesus Christ and my dad at least got to see his son come home before he passed from a heart-attack in my hands on the bathroom floor. Although I really, really miss him, I can't wait to join him in praising God for everything good He has done in my life…

Honestly, until today, id never say this because care about people a lot, but it's their choice and there is no problem. To have a single breath on earth is an enormous spiritual and experential privilege. To wield it day to day is a incredible responsibility and power. And I pereceive evidence it's not the end anyway.
Grateful for their presence when it lasted. Grateful to even be able to feel pain and missing when they are gone. Grateful for friends around still.

I have known about fentanyl since 2010-11 someone was selling it in a small town close to where I lived he had half the town hooked on this poison and admitted to me that he killed 7 people and overdosed more than 30.
At first, I didn't believe him but as the years passed by and fentanyl began to surface in the mainstream media around 2014 that is when I realized that he wasn't lying and the sick thing is, he had this smirk on his face when he told me about it like he was happy or something he was just a normal looking kid kind of emo looking you would never ever think in a million years he was a fentanyl dealer.
So from that time up until now I know or heard of, probably close to 350 people who have died most of which are younger people in their twenties.
Here is the thing, if you use these super potent synthetic opioids it isn't a matter of if you are going to die, it is a matter of when.

It’s definitely a lot stronger than Diamorphine(Heroin), but it’s scores an average of 10x the strength (with Fentanyl scoring 40-100 points per mg with an average of 50 points per mg and Diamorphine scoring 4-5 points per mg with an average of 5 points per mg),
