Thousands of foreign fighters have joined Ukrainian armed forces since Russia invaded the country in February.
BBC correspondent Olga Malchevska gained access to a secret training camp, the International Legion of Territorial Defence of Ukraine, for those arriving in the country to fight.

Today, an undercover BBC investigation has found evidence of law firms and legal advisors helping migrants pretend to be gay to get asylum.
Migrants were advised to take staged photos at nightclubs, attend LGBT events and to go to GPs pretending to be depressed to obtain medical evidence to support their cases.
Adam and Chris are joined by BBC politics investigation correspondent Billy Kenber, who uncovered the story. In response to our findings, the Home Office said: “Anyone found trying to exploit the system will face the full force of the law, including removal from the UK.”

Hungary has seen a historic election result. After 16 years in power, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been ousted from the role.
Péter Magyar’s Tisza party won a comfortable “super majority” with two-thirds of the seats in parliament, meaning the party will be able to change the constitution.
The defeat will mean a huge reset of Hungary’s relationships with the rest of the world.
Orbán has been a close partner of both US President Donald Trump and Russia’s Vladimir Putin, and he had become a big thorn in the side of the EU and Ukraine.
The BBC’s Europe Editor Katya Adler was in Budapest as the election unfolded, and takes you with her in this video as a historic defeat takes place.

Americans are reacting to President Donald Trump’s escalating feud with Pope Leo XIV and the backlash surrounding an AI-generated image depicting the president as a Jesus-like figure, which has since been deleted.
On Monday, Trump posted a lengthy Truth Social message attacking the pontiff, who has been a vocal critic of the US and Israeli military operations in Iran.
He criticised the Pope, calling him “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy”.
The Pope said on Monday that he has “no fear” of the Trump administration or “speaking out loudly of the message of the Gospel, which is what I believe I am here to do”.

I have NO sympathy for the foreigners who stick their noses into the conflict. The british army are generally misfits in my opinion and as for these bragging americans, they should get their own house in order first before they stick their noses in somewhere else.Personally I don't like them. They are totally ignorant of the true situation there. Before the Russian soldiers went in the Russians living in Ukraine were persecuted and oppressed terribly as were Jews and Gypsies. The ancient capital of Russia was Kiev. I look forward to a Russian victory. These foreigners are not heroes. As for the british pigs there in would be more to the point if they showed more cooperation in handing over nazi war criminals living to the UK to face punishment.

Ukraine is being manipulated by its corrupted regime to fight a war of the west against their own kin in Russia
the videos from the beginning of the war still on YouTube
the Russians didn't fire a bullet they were aiding civilians cross the roads and carry bags
they didn't bomb airports or powerplants and Ukrainian soldiers didn't take the fight seriously and some of theme got caught and the Russian soldiers were giving them cigarettes
the west did this
the USA did this and destroyed Ukraine and even backstabbing Europe to have them fight their war while cut off the Russian gas to force Europe on buying expensive gas and rearming from the USA
and guess what
just like the UK kept paying it's ww2 debt to the USA till 2020 Ukraine will pay a similar debt for the next century
the USA destroyed Ukraine
had Ukrainians fight and die for the USA
and put Ukraine in debt for a century
I just hope that when this war ends one way or another Ukrainians learn the lesson regarding who's really your enemy and who's your ally
