Russian drone hits Romanian apartment block | BBC News
A Russian drone hit an apartment block in Romania causing a fire and wounding two people, officials say.
The incident happened on Friday in the town of Galati – close to Romania’s eastern border with Ukraine and Moldova.
Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte said “Russia’s reckless behaviour is a danger to us all”, while European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Russia’s “war of aggression had crossed yet another line”.
Russian drones have strayed across Romania’s border a number of times during the four-year war with Ukraine, but it is the first time citizens from the Nato country have been hurt. Russia has yet to comment on the incident.

The Brighton beach deaths driving a debate about race | Top Comment Podcast
An inquest has opened into the deaths of three sisters whose bodies were recovered from the sea off the coast of Brighton. The case has led to rampant speculation online, particularly after it emerged that a widely shared image provided by family members appeared to be AI-generated.
From unfounded conspiracies about serial killers, to a broader debate over the handling of cases involving black people, it has captivated TikTok sleuths, some of whom are even turning on each other.
On this episode of Top Comment, Marianna and Matt discuss why the case is receiving so much attention, and how race has played a leading role in the discourse.

Iran restores some internet access – but is it enough? | Global News Podcast
The government of Iran has restored some access to the internet this week, after a lengthy blackout imposed on and off, for most of this year. Many Iranians are celebrating the move, which has allowed some people to contact friends and family members abroad for the first time in weeks. It could also be a lifeline for Iranians who depend on digital platforms to earn a living.
There is speculation that the move could be intended to show US President Donald Trump that the regime is willing to make some compromises at home.
But digital monitoring groups say the level of internet access is still poorer than it was before Tehran imposed its blackouts, first as a response to mass protests in January, and again at the start of the war with the US and Israel. Access to some sites is still blocked and analysts say two-factor authentication is not available in Iran, impeding many people’s access to platforms like Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp.
Reha Kansara, from the BBC’s Global Disinformation Unit, tells us what restrictions Iranians still face, how people are trying to get around them, and how this partial restoration of internet access could play into the ceasefire talks between Tehran and Washington.

Reading the books of the New Testament, we probably asked ourselves more than once: "Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?" Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years?
The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century – Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.
Find "The Mystery about the Church of Christ" video on YouTube. The video reveals the prophecy of the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the End of the World. Watching this video will give hope to all who sincerely seek God and will interest those who are not too lazy to think freely. I’ve regained my memory, and you can try this too. You must remove inflammation in the brain. Start gluten free diet today. Stop eating sugar as much as possible. Keep a journal, record how your symptoms improve. A teaspoon or tablespoon of coconut oil daily. Your dr will not tell you, just try it. Lori -RPh

I find this documentary fascinating but my experience with my own mom is SO different. She could never intellectually understand her disease, or talk about it. Just today a therapist canceled on us, saying therapy isn’t indicated bc it can create frustration and anxiety. My dad has pseudo dementia and it’s nightmarish. He stopped showering months ago, then stopped eating, then began refusing all psych meds, and has psychosis too. He’s now in hospice, starving to death, while my mom with dementia can’t understand why we can’t just take him on a walk to get him to be better. It’s all beyond heartbreaking. Cancer would be a treat at this point.

I think I'm glad I got in photography. Especially happy moments. Like when two people greet and hug each other or people cheering. When she said "I like looking at pictures. I feel happiness"
I'm honored to capture happy for them.

I'm a social worker in a long term care home. Dementia is a nightmare. There are a few who are lucky and are "pleasantly confused" but the majority of dementia patients are constantly terrified, paranoid, angry, frustrated, confused and lost. They spend their days seeing and hearing things that are scary to them, they wander the halls like zombies looking for loved ones who they will never find, sitting on chairs waiting for buses to take them home that will never come or screaming and calling out in terror because they are confused about where they are.
Please, take it from me, if your country has a Medical Assistance in Death program, talk to your loved one early enough to sign up for it so that they can die with dignity when the time comes.
The slow death due to dementia is a torture and no way to spend your last days.
