Published

These things are GREAT …BUT….the actual problem is the overconsumption of people. Companies brainwash people that they NEED to buy again and again. And honestly, the companies brainwashing the consumers are the ones with the biggest cashflow so they can pay to market their things endlessly.

So recycle by extensive washing, so microfibers still end up to the waterways. We need new design concepts not same ways which coverup the problem. Back to cotton and natural fibers. Stop social media craziness that we have to look all as models.

I think this is an effective process for this environment and it should spread all over the world. Now, these generation focuses more on fashion and styling, the count of style clothes are increasing in these years. So this is more usable for this generation and it also protect our environment from high wastes.

I support recycling everything. But the guy who said that shaving wools stressful the animals, that's wrong statement. The sheep's enjoy being sheered, just like humans getting beard shaved, or haircut. It's especially good during summer, it helps them cool off, and the wool re growth, just like our hair. We should re think about frequent buying and wasting it, which end up in the landfill

I used to go shopping for new clothes 3 or more times a year and now I go shopping for clothes less than once a year. If you don't love what you bought see yourself wishing you could wear it everyday because its just that cute or it makes you feel like then you your not wearing clothes right. I have a favorite black shirt and I could literally wear it everyday but of course if I go out to eat with the people I love I have 2 or 3 shirts I want to choose but hilariously even 3 options are too much because I want to wear all of them for that occasion. So if you feel the same about your clothes where you literally wish you could just wear them all but you can only one then you have great clothes because its not about how much you have but how it makes you feel

the problem with recycled wool is the shredding process shortens and damages the fibers, making the new yarns weaker, but it would be great for felted materials or as an inclusion in a yarn that uses new wool as the base

I've long believed that clothing shouldn't be thrown away and left to rot in landfill but to be recycled in the way plastic or cardboard can. The fabric can be broken down and be remade into other clothing fabrics or other things. With some of my old clothes, rather than throw them away I use them as scruffs for DIY and gardening around the house. But still the fashion industry doesn't care about the impact it has on the planet because it profits.

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News

Published

on

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.

In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.
