Sprite pie is a real recipe btw it was like a more expensive water pie (and yes water pie is an actual thing too)

Ice cream bread again is a real recipe lol

Sorry lads but I really don't need to hear the phrase "Spaff Special"

  4. @TheBT

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

I think they called it ice cream bread because ice cream cake exists

Finally an alcoholic alt that is priced reasonable and complexingly good. 2 or more yrs later 1st I heard of it. Also would be willing to use bite back but put a fake label on it. Ha 😅 the household doesn't read my YouTube comments.

You can't call it ice-cream if it is vegan because there is no cream in it. It's just cold hard sauce.

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

The pie retry being on a different platform is kinda annoying…

Perfect Barry move to make sprite pie minus the sprite

Results of the ice cream cake are going to depend on the brand of ice cream you use. Some have more air whipped in, some have higher fat content, etc. I think that's why the 1 fell a little bit more upon cooling, not because of the ice cream temp. More expensive brands like Haagen Dazs have higher butter fat content so will probably hold their rise better.

Americans call loaf cakes or tea cakes , bread. Such as banana bread, pumpkin bread etc. confused me too when I first came to the US. Agree with the guys – these may be fun but not too good in the end 😂

  11. @JeansDolls

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

The guy used a pre baked pie case…. Not a raw dough.

Watching this video about 2 years after it was released, I really wish there was direct link Barry's other attempts at the Sprite pie. The link in the description just seems to take me to their IG page, and IG doesn't have any kind of search that will take me to those videos.

  13. @kelvinko7019

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

How many minutes did you bake ice cream bread for?

  14. @abigailgerlach5443

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

I've seen people use Dr. Pepper or Coke to soak pork or beef before BBQing or smoking meats. I've never tried it because I don't have a smoker. It sounded like a solid idea.
We use crisps to coat all sorts of things. Keep an eye on the salt. It's rather like panko in texture.

  15. @jecoffey

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

White wine tart is a classic, often forgotten recipe from where I come from. Looks a lot like that soda monstrosity Barry tried to pull.

“dorky music” on the closed captions when he revealed the pie made me laugh out loud

Ben’s laser eyes was genuinely scary 😦
It’s like he’s finally had enough lol

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

No to the pie, I might do the cheese sticks, but not the cakes either, but fun to watch.

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

Those mozza sticks were knee bucklingly delicious looking.

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

I mean “coca col chicken” is delicious and deceptively simple for the flavour you end up with- but I’m not sure about that pie!?🧐🤷‍♀️😩

Just out of nowhere, no context.
    I LOVE IT!

  22. @morphman86

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

I'm thinking of getting a mixer, just so I can try cheddar and charlotte crisp cheese pulls.

Sprite Pie is an American twist on a dish that originated in Britain: Water Pie.

Yup, there is a British pie where the main ingredient is water. It came about during the Great Depression, as so many other weird, cheap British foods did.

It is baked in pretty much the same way, but with water instead of soda.

    December 18, 2023 at 3:34 pm

One year late: Barry made a depression cake. An oversugared one, but a depression cake.
