The withdrawal agreement is only the end of the beginning, Brexit won't be done for years to come. So many still don't realise this.

  12. @Appregator

The people voted for a no deal Brexit. Not the May Brexit or the Johnson/May Brexit.

  13. @bulletstastegreat

    January 1, 2024 at 12:49 am

wow what an assumption that the EU wants a good free trade deal with the UK. Once the exit is passed the words, 'traitors' will come out. Not only will any 'free trade' deal be worse than a random third country already has with the EU it will ensure that the financial sector moves to Paris or Frankfurt. That will be the price for getting out of the EU and striking their own 'free trade' deals with the world. Johnson will sign anything to ensure the next election isn't all about how he couldn't get it done.

  14. @MischievousDragonfruit

    January 1, 2024 at 12:49 am

Let me elaborate : wanting the perks of being in the EU without being in the EU.

  15. @johnnicolson467

    January 1, 2024 at 12:49 am

What will it mean…it will mean Scotland will be Independent soon and N Ireland will get reunification with Ireland.

  16. @nickholder63

    January 1, 2024 at 12:49 am

The Withdrawal Agreement outlines how the UK leaves the EU. What happens after that isn't necessarily Brexit, unless people want it to be for arguments sake. … Nowhere does Brexit require a deal to be struck, because if it did, 'no deal' could never be an option. … There is also no requirement for Brexit to result in a similar position to that we currently have in terms of trade, tariffs, rights, etc. … So Brexit starts on 31st January, and ends at the end of the Withdrawal Agreement period, so 31st December 2020. Anything else is simply just 'the future', and how we proceed as a result of Brexit happening, but it is not Brexit.

  19. @VonTyrant

    January 1, 2024 at 12:49 am

Let's face it, it's a marketing phrase designed to get votes. They may just as well have said "Bexit: just do it!", "Where's the Brexit?" or "Brexit: Because you're worth it."

  20. @rubikumar3377

    January 1, 2024 at 12:49 am

Get Brexit done.5 tr is also done.

  21. @maxm2494

    January 1, 2024 at 12:49 am

Please…"Labor said 'get Brexit Done" too??? You can't be that gullible; by "Done" they meant "doing it in" via a second referendum. You shouldn't treat those two "seemingly identical" statement like they actually mean the same thing when you clearly know otherwise.
You don't get it either…the UK is LEAVING on 31 Jan 2020…DEAL OR NO DEAL!

  22. @almantasglinskas3118

  27. @iamjameschang

    January 1, 2024 at 12:49 am

I think that’s precisely the problem with people in the UK voting to ‘get brexit done’. Rightfully everyone is sick to death of hearing about it, but it seems the majority of people here think that we’ll just leave on January 31st and that’ll be it, and we’ll never hear about it again, when in fact transitioning could take years.

Btw I’m not trying to push people to vote any other way, it’s just something I seem to notice when people discuss brexit here.

In recent weeks many people have grown frustrated by the government’s COVID regulations, leading some (even within their own party) to reject what they see as government power grabs. Some have even compared COVID Britain to the world portrayed in George Orwell’s 1984. So in this video, we discuss the new powers the government has, why some people are angry about them and whether we really are getting a bit 1984.
