Once power is gone, everything is gone. He could have improved the status of the poor in Pakistan, while in power. What has he done for Pakistan – other than corruption and adultery? Won Cricket matches by cheating. Waste life – deserves jail.

Khan is still innocent, and his arrest was still illegal. His people only left the party because they was forced to by the establishment. It’s typical bias drivel from the BBC. No one believes anything any more from mainstream media.

Britain seems to be the fertile ground for all corrupt Pakistani politicians . They buy lands with looted money from Pakistan and continue to destabilize Pakistan while sitting in England. Hopefully BBC will look into it some day as well as unconditional support for fascist military junta of Pakistan

A Pakistani court has jailed Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case but who will judge how many Prime Ministers presidents and army generals have looted in Pakistan Toshakhana for the past 70 years? Pakistan has no democracy, army system continues.
The current government and the establishment are all conspiring to keep Former Prime Minister Imran Khan away from the elections. It is really sad that the current government is using democracy as a tool. The current government is continuing this misdeed to destroy the PTI party.

BBC pretends that they don’t know how the Pakistan military has harassed people who support Imran khan . His supporting politicians were asked to leave the party and leave politics all together … by abducting their wives and children. So now his supporter are staying away, not that his popularity is no more.
USA and Uk are big advocates of democracy but here they have turned a blind eye to military dictatorship.

Shameful to see the BBC indulging in such low level propaganda. 😕 Since Imran's arrest hardly any people have come out on the streets, there are no 'protests ' as being falsely suggested here . However , that doesn't mean Imran or the PTI party don't have public support left . Only timely , fair and free democratic elections will reveal the truth of who enjoys how much support in Pakistan. Also , I think that there should be a level playing field for all. You can't lock up and disqualify Imran yet dismiss proven judgments of corruption against Nawaz Sharif , Shahbaz, Zardari and dozens more . All of these politicians should be behind bars and permanently disqualified from contesting any Pakistani elections.

All Pakistani's in Pakistan and overseas stand with Imran khan, current corrupt regime of PDM is using force against the protesters in Pakistan, Pakistani Police after arresting protesters demand huge bribes to release protesters, also if protesters are caught their families are punished and prosecuted, there is no democracy and rule of law to protect the civil rights of PTI protesters , there are huge human rights violations taking place in Pakistan and its bestowed upon the civilized world to step in and save Pakistani's civil rights by supporting suffering Pakistani's .

This kangroo case of Tosha khana is totally absured and illogical. As the whole world can see that there is no Rule of Law in Pakistan. So, our government and military establishment just want to eliminate Imran Khan from Elections so that these corrupt people can rule. The current government is highly corrupt with lot of money laundering cases etc. etc. This case on Imran Khan is just an excuse to eliminate him. Imran Khan's life is in danger. They will murder him in jail by slow poisoning.

US hits ‘dozens’ of Iranian sites in strikes, as Iran targets US bases in region | BBC News

Published

on

The US said it has hit “dozens” of Iranian military targets in overnight attacks, in response to Iran hitting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military said it struck “air-defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats”, using aircraft, ships, and drones – including “one-way attack sea drones for the first time”.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade,” the US military said. “Iran does not control it”.

In response, Iran said it targeted US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait and also radar systems in Oman.

Trump demands 20% toll on cargos passing through strait of Hormuz | BBC News

Published

on

President Donald Trump has said the US is reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports and will impose a 20% charge on all cargo shipped through the Strait of Hormuz following days of escalating strikes between the two countries.

He said this would stop “Iran’s ships or customers” from entering or leaving the key oil shipping route, but “all other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait”.

Iran’s foreign minister later said whoever provides safe passage “should be compensated for this service”, but Iran would remain the strait’s “GUARDIAN” – using Trump’s word.

Tehran and Washington clashed over the strait’s control after exchanging strikes in the region overnight and on Monday.

The US said it carried out strikes against military targets in Iran, targeting air defence systems, coastal radars, and missile and drone sites. Iran said it responded by striking US military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, and radars in Oman.

Explosions have been heard near two Iranian port cities, Bandar Abbas and Bushehr, state media has reported.

It comes after another night of strikes between the US and Iran, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps saying it hit two UAE tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US facilities in Jordan and Bahrain.

The UAE called the attack “brazen”, adding that an Indian crew member was killed and eight others were injured.

US launches more strikes on Iran and resumes naval blockade of ports | BBC News

Published

on

The US military said it was carrying out a new wave of strikes on targets in Iran. It said the aim of the attacks was to degrade Iran’s ability to attack shipping in the strait of Hormuz. It came ass the US Navy resumed its blockade of Iran’s ports.

Iran said that control of the strait of Hormuz was required for its national security and it will exercise sovereignty over the key shipping lane, whatever the cost.

President Trump announced that he was scrapping a plan he had announced a day earlier, for placing a 20% toll or tariff on all cargos passing through the strait of Hormuz.
