Israel-Gaza: Ceasefire holds overnight after days of violence – BBC News
A ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militants is holding, after three days of violence in which at least 44 people have died.
The ceasefire was mediated by Egypt – which has acted as an intermediary between Israel and Gaza in the past.

A Russian drone hit an apartment block in Romania causing a fire and wounding two people, officials say.
The incident happened on Friday in the town of Galati – close to Romania’s eastern border with Ukraine and Moldova.
Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte said “Russia’s reckless behaviour is a danger to us all”, while European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Russia’s “war of aggression had crossed yet another line”.
Russian drones have strayed across Romania’s border a number of times during the four-year war with Ukraine, but it is the first time citizens from the Nato country have been hurt. Russia has yet to comment on the incident.

Incredibly biased reporting from the BBC. A preventive attack has no legality under international law. Then it's referred to as a fight! Gaza has been under an Israeli blockade for more than 15 years. The vast majority of Gazans live in dire poverty as a result. This is the 5th bombing they have had from a state that has nuclear weapons and is armed to the teeth with the most sophisticated of weaponry. Once again several children are amongst the victims. What does the BBC show us – Israelis in shelters to protect them from rockets that get destroyed by the US provided dome. Gazans have no shelter and no escape from the bombing. They are mostly Palestinian refugees originating from where?
