The American election may have been decided — but President Trump is still fighting President-elect Biden in the courts. Tonight in Georgia — where runoff elections in January could decide the balance of power in the Senate — the results of a recount are expected imminently.
In the election President Trump was voted for by a broad coalition of over 70 million Americans, but now the longer he refuses to concede, the more the anger and conspiracy theories start to fly amongst his more ardent fans.

Zelensky says Russia hit Ukrainian power plant after Trump declared energy ceasefire | BBC News
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia hit a power plant in Ukraine “immediately after” US President Donald Trump announced what he called an energy ceasefire.
Zelensky said Ukraine is willing to back an energy truce if Moscow does as well, adding that it could “become a major step toward ending the war.”
So far, the Kremlin has not commented on the idea, which could see both sides pausing attacks on each other’s energy facilities.
Trump has been urging Ukraine to stop strikes on Russian oil infrastructure so Moscow can fulfil a recently struck deal to release diesel to the US and the global market.

Deep inside an underground bunker in eastern Ukraine, commanders monitor the battlefield through a live video feed as a Ukrainian drone intercepts a Russian surveillance drone.
The footage shows the Ukrainian drone hovering above its target, before dropping a net and dragging it from the sky.
The interception is part of Operation Vivaldi, a Ukrainian counter-offensive that Kyiv says has recaptured 277 sq km (106 square miles) of territory in the eastern Donbas region in recent months.
But Ukraine says new restrictions on Starshield, the military version of Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite network, are threatening its drone operations.
The technology has played a key role in helping Ukrainian forces detect and strike Russian targets. Dan Johnson reports from the bunker.
