Massive US blizzard hits California and Nevada | BBC News
A massive blizzard has hit parts of California and Nevada in the western United States.
The snowstorm has closed major roads, shut down ski resorts and left tens of thousands of homes without power.
Weather forecasters have urged people to remain where they, warning it could take time to dig commuters out of the snow if they get stuck in the storm.

Five people have died, including three adult victims and two suspects, police say, after a deadly shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego in California.
Police say the threat âhas been neutralisedâ, with two teenage suspects, believed to be 17 and 19, found dead in a nearby vehicle with self-inflicted wounds.
The FBI says that the incident is currently being treated as a hate crime.
One of the deceased victims is a security guard who worked at the centre, San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl said.
