It would be interesting to see either a chef vs normal or normal vs normal mystery box battle and both contestants are given identical unknown ingredients in their boxes but the difference is that after opening the box and seeing the available ingredients they must randomly pick a theme of cooking like vegan or gluten free, or maybe something like no hob access or limited oven time to make the battle a bit harder on both ends. Their cooking time should instantly start when they pick their theme so they don’t get planning time either so everything they do is done on the cuff or mentally planned as their time passes

Actually, even with a basement you work up, I think the word Jamie was looking for was attic… But that doesn't have the same punniness to it I guess…

  5. @eric852

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I wonder if Ben can cook at home without explaining the process.

  6. @Seuration

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

bread contains eggs. Bread isn't vegan. Both of these dishes are vegetarian, not vegan.

  7. @zombieotr

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Is it just me or does Ben's looks like a cow pat on toast

  8. @cassandrakarpinski9416

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

4:03 you have a tin of chickpeas right there you dummy. Aquafaba is an egg alternative

  9. @GigiStar01

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

    Scissors for the nori! 😅

  10. @jaradsmethers3601

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I hope those breadcrumbs are vegan

  11. @markevans9188

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

neither used the chocolate. i'd have used some silken tofu and chocolate to make a mousse

  12. @tommyxboy101

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

For maybe half a second I was extremely confused as to whom TF Ben was, then remembered his name is not actually Ebbers

  13. @deawallach3404

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Why are the chickpeas so dark ??

  14. @SimeonWakely

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

You should do a chef v normal but at the end they have to switch and plate their opponents plate so that the judge can’t guess from just looking at the plate

  15. @Stadtionalist

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

No red harings, yet I did see some coconut milk? Coconut milk isn't really vegan friendly tho.

  16. @mrFear6x3

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

never even heard of a burek with allspice and sesame :/

  17. @OrWhatWeHave

  19. @amberford300

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

When they do this and give the chef such little time it reminds me of the show chopped. Is that still on?

  20. @clairebelton-hw2rl

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Loved this, would love to see you guys do more vegan videos 🙂

  21. @kianahhigginbottom1540

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

You really need to add these two recipes to the app they look amazing and I'm to even vegan and I'll be happy to have them on my plate

  22. @johndeerdrew

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

If you'll direct your attention to the thumbnail, you will see our two young chefs each holding a platter of Japanese porn.

  23. @BernieTime1

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Did you ever notice at the end of every video when the boys go in to taste the food at the end that Ben always goes straight to the dish he cooked?

  24. @Medieval_Arpad_cooks

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

    I want to make Barry's

  25. @Drake844221

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Honestly, that all looks brilliant! I'd love either one!

  26. @claireisacamel

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

    Bahahah Baz with the “hmm… I’ve just made a 79 ingredient dish… but something’s missing” 😆😆🙌

  27. @212685jaz

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

    Is Barry vegan?

  28. @callmedrac4352

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

One minute into the vid and Barry goes: "Is this….SATAN?"

  29. @clays.8122

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

At least this time Baz didn't add honey to a vegan dish

  30. @neilambasing7501

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Oh i thought Barry would win

  31. @AC-pm3mc

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I will say by looks Barry wins for me. I am not vegan but I’d die to try a bite that looked so good

  32. @deathlord269

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I hated the ad because they mention the Gin. I'd probably not hate the ad, if the gin was able to be shipped outside of Europe.

  33. @annbrookens945

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Both dishes sound so intriguing! I think…no, I don't know. I HATE beans on toast but Ben's dish is quite different from standard beans on toast. I would love to try both!!!

  34. @adamdoyle6495

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

today i learned there were black chickpeas, all i have ever seen are the white/yellow ones

  35. @redsail08

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Barry and Ben both looked like they were having a lot of fun.

  36. @daniwalmsley611

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I'd have gone with a tofu pasta with a garlic crumpet. Mine also would've been s**t, well done boys

  37. @fuglyduckling6637

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

    Barry! Use a big knife!!!😂

  38. @Jytube231

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I would love to see what Barry had in-mind before compiling that absolute mess.

  39. @coalguy1316

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Thank you gents, for some amazing years of cooking and culinary advice. I myself am in college now and was wondering if y’all had any recipe ideas or video concepts for college student cooking.

  40. @ianbartram2118

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Just tried the sidekick app for the first time. The sausage and fennel one-pot orzo is also toddler approved.

100% will be using the app from now on.

  41. @EllieInCaracas

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Ben is just outstanding 🤯 in 15 minutes he even cleans up….

  42. @monicasantos2216

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Have you watched The Big Brunch? The guy makes Seitan from scratch!! Would love to see y’all workshop some of those kinds of recipes (all you need to make it I think is flour and water?)

  43. @OpheliaNorthland

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I would love to see you guys do a beat the chef, but it's a normal with a meal kit with instructions, and a chef with the same ingredients but no instructions. I would actually love to compare the two- if a meal kit like Chef's plate can actually compete with a chef.

  44. @danielburgess7785

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

Humans are omnivores. Count the number of carnivore vs herbivore teeth in your mouth to determine what the balanced diet should be.

  45. @labsareperfect

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I would love to see you do a microwave cook off to challenge what kind of full meal you can cook in one!

  46. @katiablejer2404

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

    “Individily”

  47. @chriswilson5767

    December 22, 2023 at 1:28 am

I've been watching cooking shows since I was like 5 or 6 (don't judge, we didn't have cable). Always, always, always, they've talked about washing leeks to get the sand out. I don't think I've ever seen you guys, or any newer cooking shows, talk about that. Is it no longer necessary? Have growing techniques improved or something??
