I don't think I want sweetness on my turkey either. I think this is a British thing they liked sweet sticky "fried" chicken when they tasted fried chicken around London.

Hi I want to share our Christmas turkey story. Your purpose is to bring GenY to the kitchen. I was shocked when my 13 year old daughter advised that she wished to cook a turkey! She has been inspired and given the confidence by the boys at Sorted! So you have also inspired Gen Z! Our Christmas had 4 generations in the kitchen with the youngest successfully cooking a magnificent Turkey. Thank you Sorted!

Usually I use the juices that run from the bird instead from the butter & molasses mixture – it works for the same concept to make it red "not anemic lol"

I was told in that if you let a hot meat, such as a turkey, sit outside for longer than twenty minutes, it's dangerous because in the moist environment of the turkey, a huge amount of bacteria will start to fester and might possibly lead to things like food poisoning and stuff. Doesn't that then imply that if you leave the turkey to sit for so long in your kitchen, you create a risk?

My Mum told me to put everything (herbs, veg, turkey and all) into a baking bag before baking. The turkey comes out juicy and the stuff left in the bag makes an awesome gravy! It worked when I did it. 🙂

Has anyone actually attempted to filp the bird upside down? Let me know if anyone's done it! I would like to see results of that! I'm so used to putting the butter under the skin but I would like to try something new for sure!

I still like mine cooked with stuffing which gives the turkey a wonderful flavour also. I use parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme plus salt and pepper. Mix with course bread crumbs finely chopped onion and celery. If I have a large bird, (20 + lbs) I like to roast it overnight and carve it in the morning putting the meat in a roaster, covered with juices from the turkey and covered at a low temp to keep warm until time to eat. This way all the mess made in the kitchen is cleared away making room to do up the veggies etc.
