Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal has said the election victory in Israel by Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party will lead to ‘more extremism’. The political leader of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal, has condemned the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for killing the peace process.
He also criticised the activities of jihadist groups, which he said were against the teachings of Islam. Khaled Meshaal was speaking to the BBC’s Middle East Editor, Jeremy Bowen, in Doha, the capital of Qatar, where he lives in exile.

Israelis have just as much claim to the land, more so. The Palestinians have been offered half the land. Fact of the matter, Hamas want war and bloodshed. the Arab nations don't want Israel to exist.

So, just so we are clear (question 2) – No, Hamas does NOT condemn ISIL or Al Quaeda.
And nor should we expect they should – they are of the same mind.
Thank you BBC for revealing that at least.

"difficult times with Netanyahu" Yea, it will be hard for Netanyahu to justify bombing Gaza so Meshaal will not be able to use dead children to stuff charity money in his pocket. Also, Netanyahu will then not be able to use Hamas as an excuse to steal land from the West Bank and lose profits for renting out free land.

Not a very good interviewer. "What does Israeli occupation have to do with other parts of the middle east?". Your news company put out a video this morning explaining how ISIS fighters have attacked a Palestinian refugee camp. Where? In Damascus, Syria, knucklehead. The occupation doesn't exist in a vacuum. "Hasn'y Hamas done just as much to kill peaceful negotiations?". Are you kidding? Hey did Hamas exist before or after years of oppression and occupation? Where they the initiators or the response to unending occupation? Who is going to the UN seeking peaceful means to establish statehood for the Palestinian people? Not Israel. Despicable journalism. He's not a young guy either, he's old enough to know better. Shame on you, sir.

Scott Galloway on the fight for US men | Americast

Published

on

There was a gender divide in the US in 2024 and one of the criticisms of the failed Democrat presidential campaign was that they appealed to women and largely ignored men.

So, with the midterms coming up, and the 2028 battle lines being drawn, how much is are political conversations going to centre around who can attract the male vote?

Justin’s been talking to a man who’s been thinking about that very question.

Russian drone hits Romanian apartment block | BBC News

Published

on

A Russian drone hit an apartment block in Romania causing a fire and wounding two people, officials say.

The incident happened on Friday in the town of Galati – close to Romania’s eastern border with Ukraine and Moldova.

Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte said “Russia’s reckless behaviour is a danger to us all”, while European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Russia’s “war of aggression had crossed yet another line”.

Russian drones have strayed across Romania’s border a number of times during the four-year war with Ukraine, but it is the first time citizens from the Nato country have been hurt. Russia has yet to comment on the incident.
