34 Celsius/95 fahrenheit isn't bad, compared to the worst it can get. 😂 Try the middle of August.

I've had alligator lots of different ways and it's always tough. Maybe sausage is the way to go with gator meat!

If you’re ever back in Louisiana I highly recommend going to Bear’s Poboys in Covington, LA. They have an amazing regular roast beef poboy but their specialty is the bbq roast beef. They are a local, family owned restaurant and my family has been eating their for the last 20 years and it never disappoints.

Found this oldie recently. Love New Orleans. If you ever make it back, you need to try Brothers Fried Chicken. Lol. When a local told me to try their “gas station” fried chicken, I was weary. Completely surprised me how good it was. I will never not go to Brothers.

If you took my dad to New Orleans you couldn't pay him to eat Bananas Fosters or even sit near you while you eat it. My Dad gets absolutely sick if he smells bananas near him.

If ya'll like New Orleans, you might enjoy the Savannah, & Tybee Island Georgia areas. Some of the best Seafood I've ever experienced, but just food in general!

The more I see of these American specials the more I am thinking "Emperor's New Clothes" – really ordinary food that people line up hours for.

I remember the hype when Krispy Kreme donuts came to Western Australia and people were lining up. And they are basically crap!

Red beans and rice was made,on Monday's because Monday was wash day. Back in the day it took all day to do the washing and the woman didn't want to make a big meal after doing the laundry. They would put a pot of red beans and rice on to simmer and all they had to do was make some simple biscuits abd that was Mondays supper.

My go to Po Boy is a grilled shrimp po boy (not fried) fully dressed with tartar sauce instead of mayo. The best po boy I ever had was the Peacemaker from Mahoney's on Magazine street. Fried shrimp and pork belly. FANTASTIC!! Any Po Boy made well with some care and attention is great though.
