I remember a raspberry tea that tasted of soap. I like Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice, which is an herbal tea with chai spice flavors.

100% GMO free label on the corn… Not sure they know what that means.

    my first question was
why did the chocolate come with instructions

but also it totally needed those instructions

I don't think I have ever been more squicked out by any prospective food than I was by those damn barnacles. I got full body shivers and Ben squeezing one just made it so much bloody worse. GAH! No.

The most expensive chocolate is actually chocolate for laboratory use at $2040 for a five pack, or 204 dollars per portion of a similar weight to that waste of money.

I’m sorry, Jamie got cheated. He’s the only one that actually made a hotdog.

Those goose neck barnacles are a delicacy where I'm from, we call them perceves. I don't really see the appeal tho 😂 but they are quite popular among locals and tourists alike

I lived in Ecuador and regularly bought locally made chocolate which was delicious and didn't cost £165

Da Hong Pao, the great red cape, got its name because when the tea was presented to the Emperor, he got so impressed he gave a great red cape to the tree the tea was collected from.

don't be scared of gooseneck barnacles, very delicious, and absolutely agreed. Steeped in culture, least pretentious

If there is a question of something is pretentious, that is defenitely pretentious without any doubt.

That tea isn't anywhere near pretentious. I drink coffee myself, and it's really hard to find a blend with the charastics I'm looking for at a regular grocery store, even the higher end ones. I buy my beans in green from several different countries, and I roast them myself. Now THAT is being pretentious! I'm currently getting certified fair trade beans from places like Equador, Sumatra, Java, Hawaii, Jamaica, Venezuela, and Columbia, and the most expensive ones come from Sumatra at about $28 USD for a kilogram. I really don't mind paying that much for it because I know the bulk of what I'm spending goes back to the families and workers on the farms that grew it for me, and because I live in Western New York and can't grow my own like I do with cannabis, I gotta pay someone to grow my coffee. Might as well try to make sure the workers get the money for their hard work instead of lining the pockets of some CEO who really doesn't need any more of my cash. At least that's how I feel about it.

Just a bunch of click bait

Percebes!! We eat them like popcorn here in Portugal! Don't mask the sea flavour with garlic and herbs Sorted team…c'moooonnn!
We actually pinch the other side, grabbing the "claw" of it and slide the meat out. Delicious.

  20. @allanbennett272

    January 12, 2024 at 12:01 pm

When it comes to those gooseneck barnacles, there is also some meat in the tip of that thing that’s extra special

  21. @tomsmith3045

    January 12, 2024 at 12:01 pm

This was a great test! Funny and educational. It's interesting that some foods that used to be common or even "survival" are now delicacies. Lobster is an example from here in the US, but I'm sure there are many around the world. Does their being rare make them taste better, or plentiful less desirable? Maybe not….but if bacon were suddenly as expensive as truffles, I'd bet more people would be hunting bacon than truffles. Just my view. 🙂

    January 12, 2024 at 12:01 pm

I think that any food or ingredient that has been adopted into "high society," like caviar and foie gras, or that has a particular snob culture around it, like wine-tastings, is pretentious.

  23. @johnsy1eleven

    January 12, 2024 at 12:01 pm

Between 2 to 4 grams of tea…”that sounds like 3 to me”… sounds like an 8 ball to me, give me a satty bag and I can measure that to within point 1 by feel 😂

  24. @mn4169

    January 12, 2024 at 12:01 pm

People are starving around the globe. and people buy this shit, in the belief that they are better. And for the record, milk chocolate is much nicer, I hate dark chocolate, it is bitter and leaves a nasty taste in your mouth for hours and hours.

  25. @SlendisFi_Universe

    January 12, 2024 at 12:01 pm

Shame I can't get that liqour here in Finland. Would have tried it…

  26. @andrewturner7128

    January 12, 2024 at 12:01 pm

A couple of things make me think percebes are pretentious:
    1) If you're serving frozen percebes, you're pretending to have this wonderful foodstuff, but I doubt that the taste or texture of frozen ones compares to fresh.
    2) It's perfectly good seafood, very nice to eat fresh if you're in Galicia, but the price only reflects the difficulty of obtaining them, I don't think they're any more delicious than other kinds of seafood which are easier to get.
