Farage vs NatWest: ‘Banks don’t have the right to judge customers’ opinions!’ argues David Mellor

Published

on

‘If you have a banking license it’s not your job to sit in judgment of your customer’s opinions.’

Former Chancellor to the Exchequer David Mellor says NatWest’s decision to close Nigel Farage’s bank account because they disagreed with his political views was ‘idiotic.’

"THOSE BANKS HAVE BROKEN EQUALITY ACT 2010" & "BY-LAW EVERYONE LIVING AND TRADING IN BRITAIN IS COMMANDED TO SUBMIT TO BRITISH LAWS AND VALUES":

There´s a principle of a Free Society that states "The customer is always right. The customer is king". We must start preaching it along with all Principles of a Free Society, what we call British values.

Also, all individuals and institutions must submit to British laws, values, traditions of social life, and expectations of the British people. If a bank or any other institution doesn't submit to British, laws, values, traditions of social life, and expectations of the British people but, instead, they submit to Marxist values and behave as North Korean-style authorities, the government must remove them from their positions of authority or cancel their trading license so they can not trade anymore in British territory. All authorities in any institution must respect all British laws, values, individual human rights, traditions of social life, and expectations of the British people.

By law, all permanent residents and British citizens, are commanded to swear the Oath of Allegiance to the King and the Pledge of Loyalty to the United Kingdom and fulfill their responsibilities and obligations that come with our freedoms. That included respecting the right of others to hold their own opinions.

If authorities in any institution in Britain claim to uphold a different set of values to those of Britain and they persecute innocent people by claiming "These are our set of values", then they must be crushed in Court by the government and get their trading license removed unless that institution, in order to protect its reputation, sack the authoritarian anti-British/North Korean bully from their board.

Whether we talk about a bank, a cinema, a music/events hall, a football club, etc, if any institution removes people arbitrarily because of their political opinions, they must be charged and punished by the government/courts, according to British Law.

Farage has won the game. All those bullies have broken Equality Act 2010. He just needs to take them all to Court and claim half a million pounds in compensation after their resignation letters.

You can find more about it here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-and-courts/discrimination/about-discrimination/equality-act-2010-discrimination-and-your-rights/

It says (attention to numeral 2):

When are you protected from discrimination?

Discrimination means treating you unfairly because of who you are. The Equality Act 2010 protects you from discrimination by:

    1) employers

    2) businesses and organisations which provide goods or services like banks, shops, and utility companies

Is Coutts losing its prestigious standards 🤔??

Seems its the beginning to of its decline.

  15. @pixelfingers

    January 12, 2024 at 10:29 am

Very disappointed that you have free market libertarian business-friendly politicians sticking their nose into the business decisions of a private company.

Unless you want the government to step in with extra rules and regulations?

Surely a company has the right to do business with whomever they please?

And that stands with whatever kind of business it is, whether you’re baking cakes or looking after people’s money.

If you stand by that principle in one situation, surely you stand by it in all situations – otherwise it’s double standards?

  16. @GeminiShazza

    January 12, 2024 at 10:29 am

Every Natwest account holder should all go into their branches on the same day and draw all their monies out, that will give them a taste of their own medicine lol. 5 million is a disgrace as a wage that is stealing from the savings of people, and needs also investigating…

  18. @zedeyejoe

    January 12, 2024 at 10:29 am

Certainly a bank can judge their customers and not let them bank with them if they don't want to. In Farages case it was just that he did not have enough money to continue to bank with Coutts.

  29. @criticalthinker8007

    January 12, 2024 at 10:29 am

Nigel Farage is hardly a bastion of morality. Nigel has made a career out of misinformation and back room deals. Whilst I am the last one to defend the banking system this all started because Nigel was unprepared to demonstrate where is money came from under money laundering regulations. It was Nigel who was making the claim it was politically motivated.

  33. @HKsolo-oq4sq

    January 12, 2024 at 10:29 am

so what? the banks have the final say, it is their own companies. Nigel "Toad" Farage can set up a bank himself, oh wait, he is meant to be at the shore blocking the illegal immigrants

I changed from natwest years ago they are a terrible bank not just for there political stance some scamers stole 1500 from my account natwest knew this was happening to many other customers the fraud team hung up on me multiple times when trying to sort it out they have been sued for this in the past but still practice this to this day the bank is a complete joke and should fail

It's not up for argument. It's just another test of state sponsored corporate fascism dressed as equality, to guage the level of outrage from a slowly awakening public.

  42. @caeserromero3013

    January 12, 2024 at 10:29 am

Natwest obviously didn't feel 'repelled by the views' of the tax payers they accepted bailouts from. 50%+ of whom would have been 'Brexit voters'….

  48. @benh715

    January 12, 2024 at 10:29 am

This is interesting. Should a business have the right to refuse service on the grounds they don’t agree with the customer? The Christian baker got into all sorts of trouble for refusing the gay wedding cake. The right defended their right to refuse. Both sides are guilty of hypocrisy in these matters.

  49. @richardchadwick4028
