In 1955, they promised us cities on the Moon, a robot in every kitchen, and a pill that would replace dinner. It’s 2026 now. Here’s what actually happened — and why they got the future backwards.

We walk through five major predictions people made about the era we’re living in right now: lunar colonies, humanoid household robots, cities sealed under glass domes, pneumatic delivery tubes, and meal-replacement pills. Some of them failed. One of them was just sixty years early. And one disappeared for a reason nobody expected.
