Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor arrested – what happens now? | BBC Newscast
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested and is in custody on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
King Charles says he “learned with the deepest concern” of Andrew’s arrest, adding “the law must take its course” – Prince William and Catherine are understood to support the statement.
Andrew, who turns 66 today, has previously denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein; he has not responded to the BBC’s requests for comment on the specific allegations in relation to the release of millions of Epstein files in January
Adam and Laura are joined by royal correspondent Jonny Dymond and home and legal correspondent Dominic Casciani.

Russia killed Alexei Navalny using dart frog toxin, UK says | BBC News
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was killed using a poison developed from a dart frog toxin, the UK and European allies have said.
Two years on from the death of Navalny at a Siberian penal colony, Britain and its allies have blamed the Kremlin following analysis of material samples found on his body.
There is no innocent explanation for the toxin, called epibatidine, being found in samples taken from Navalny’s body, the UK Foreign Office said.
UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper announced the findings at the Munich Security Conference, and a joint statement was issued by the UK, Sweden, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
The Kremlin has not commented on the allegations.

Hillary Clinton accuses Trump administration of Epstein files ‘cover-up’ in BBC interview | BBC News
Hillary Clinton has accused US President Donald Trump’s administration of a “cover-up” over its handling of files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The White House insisted that by releasing the files they had done “more for the victims than Democrats ever have”. President Trump has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and says he broke off contact with Epstein many years ago.
The Department of Justice say many of the references to the president “contain untrue and sensationalist claims against Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election” and that the tips do not have supporting evidence.
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has also consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing, and being named in the Epstein files is not an indication of misconduct. The former Prince cannot be forced by a subpoena to go to the US.
