A Simple Kerala Breakfast Combo/ Ottada and White kadala Curry/ Breakfast Recipes In Malayalam
Ottada is a Kerala breakfast dish which is famous in the Malabar region. It is made with white rice or rice flour and is similar to dosa. It is also a healthy recipe as no oil is used to prepare this.
Ottada
ingredients

Raw rice – 2 cups
rice powder /pathiri podi – 1 cup
water – 1 cup + 1 cup or as required
grated coconut – 1 cup
salt as required
coconut oil – 1 tbsp
White kadala curry
ingredients

white chana / vella kadala – 1 cup
onion – 2
tomato -1
green chili – 1
potato – 1
garlic – 1 pod
water – 1.5 cups
salt as required
turmeric powder – quarter tsp
chilli powder – half tsp
thin coconut milk – half a cup
thick coconut milk – quarter a cup
for seasoning
